Warrior's choice
The Danish film "Fremont and Hillent" is a bit of a hit
1.
It was my first time watching a Danish film, and it was a film about the period during World War II.
This is a film that surprised me, so the accident was because of such a subject matter, but it was interpreted by the director in such a way.
There is no doubt that the two protagonists in the play, "Flame" and "Lemon", can subvert the feelings and imagination that all such films bring to me.
This is the story of a rebel, but always full of depression and confusion, this is the story of two indomitable warriors, but the whole story is not felt in the so-called tall.
Coincidentally, almost on the same day, I have seen a domestic feature film "Untouchable" that is also a war theme, if you consider it purely from the background of the story, these two films may have some commonalities, such as reflecting the theme of war, both describing the story and fate of the rebels.
But, to be honest, after I watched a "Untouchable", I had a sense of ridicule, if I say something unpleasant, where is "Untouchable", which is clearly "stupid" and "unattainable". I can't help but admit that in fact, in terms of storytelling, "Untouchable" is a good script, but I am stunned that I can't bear to witness it in the director's inferior aesthetic and artistic appearance.
Although it reflects the theme of war, the rhythm of the "Fu" drama does not show too fast a feeling. But there's a sense of oppression everywhere, a tension that makes your palms sweat.
In the face of the Nazi invasion, the rebels used their own ways to show their dignity.
2.
It was a foggy morning north of Copenhagen, and Bent (Flame) was smoking while methodically putting on his shirt, tie, and hiding his weapon on his body, and going on a new assassination mission. Despite being the most feared member of the resistance in the Nazi occupation zone, Bent was prepared to die on every mission, a capsule that could poison himself instantly, and like a pistol that killed the enemy, he always carried it with him. After finishing up, he went out to a car on the side of the street, where his partner Jogan (Lemon) was waiting for him.
Such two national heroic deeds, in most movies, may have to be repeatedly sung and praised, but "Flem and Hitron" chose another angle, when Bent's narration, from the beginning of the film, constantly asked about the meaning of all this, when Bent introduced to everyone, Jogan because he saw the Nazis into Denmark and vomited, and then began to join the resistance movement, he is actually talking about the ordinary citizens of the country, forced into a worldwide political and military competition. The flame-like Bent should have burned his youth for something better; Jogan, who sweated nervously every time he went on a mission, should have lived a harmonious life at home, and for them, the reason for the initial path of resistance may be simple: their normal life has been disrupted, and taking it back is the only option. Their reasons for hating the aggressors may be as simple as that.
There is no elevation, no deliberate fabrication, everything is logical. Two cold-blooded killers who showed no mercy to the Nazis created too much fear and trouble for the Nazis. The whole picture of the movie seems heavy and depressing, and it always makes you feel that you have a feeling of being breathless.
What is the master of man's destiny, and who represents the righteous side? Probably dominated by love and hatred, it doesn't matter if it's justice or not. The long-standing hatred in the heart of the protagonist "Flame" comes from the Nazis' tyranny of his girlfriend, so he believes that the Nazis are his lifelong enemies, especially after the Nazis occupied his hometown. It seems that everyone is so innocent, they have mistakenly killed people who should not be killed, and they have also let go of people who should not be let go.
In the chaotic situation, they appear reckless and hot-blooded in the complicated relationship between the enemy and the enemy in the wrong.
It is precisely because of this situation that it is difficult to distinguish between the enemy and the enemy that these two cold-blooded killer fighters, on the one hand, are ruthless to the Nazis, and on the other hand, they have killed some innocent people in vain.
3.
In the unpleasant rhythm of the film, it is full of suspense and gripping. The multi-faceted nature, the impermanence of current events, tears apart little by little.
Patriotism, in this film, is a heavy topic, heavy as Wilde said, becomes an "evil virtue", its evil, let the flame Bent have self-doubt, from the beginning of the film's narration, he is constantly asking the meaning of what they do, after all, every action he takes a person's life, support their reasons for repeated killing, it seems that only patriotism, he is so worried that he will hurt the innocent, it can be seen that he has never enjoyed the process of destroying the enemy.
But in the face of brutal warfare, fighters have no choice, and picking up a gun may be their only thing. Born in that era, those who were not willing to be Nazi subjects or accomplices must fight.
War has nothing to do with romance and fantasy, women in espionage are dangerous and not gullible, women in war are weak and cannot be pressured, do not easily trust your organization, your superiors, everyone around you. Maybe this is something that this film occasionally expresses, which is shocking and thought-provoking.
In my opinion, such a film is a real film with temperament connotations. This film based on real character historical events, there is no flashy amplification, the image is very Nordic characteristics, the style is somber and lonely, poignant and stretched, the plot is about war, but organically covers the face with points, extends the uncertainty and diversity of the war with the special mission of the Danish Resistance Organization, the main theme talks about human nature, but only does objective dissection, does not deliberately not be pretentious, does not get lost in the huge historical background of World War II, the tone touches the heart, but it is pointed to the end, and it is cleverly done and avoids clichés. It seems to give humanistic attention in the true sense, leaving the audience with a wide space for consideration.
In the end, "flame" and "lemon" can be said to have died at the hands of women, and both were betrayed by women. However, the film does not condemn the "traitor" without any, leaving everything to the audience, and because of this, this film's treatment gives people a feeling that is difficult to express in words.
In fact, "Flame" still has the true feeling of the woman who betrayed him again and again, which can only be said to be the other side of the humanity of a cruel cold-blooded killer in the context of war.

War, it's a damn war again.
Without the war, Bent might have been quietly enjoying his father's family business and solid life.
Without the war, Jørgen and his wife and daughter would probably live peacefully in Copenhagen, in the joy of heaven, greeting the sunrise and sunset.
However, the war changed all this, and the angry "flames", the angry "lemons" expressed their attitude towards the invaders in their own way.
There are many heartwarming details in the film, and the reason why the glasses man Jogen, who has a wife and a daughter, is involved in such a dangerous mission, because the Germans easily made Copenhagen fall, and watching the German soldiers enter, this honest man vomited. Since then, the loyal Jögen has shouldered the dignity of being a Dane, although he is gradually losing his dignity as a husband, the dignity of a father - Jørgen is working for the Resistance, but he is poor, he has to borrow money from his colleagues for the birthday of his daughter he has not met for a long time, and in order to get some food for his wife and daughter, he has to rob the German shop, and the humiliation here is unbearable, but the wife still follows others. When Jogan tells his wife's current wife to take care of his wife and daughter, the film gives a man's bitterness and embarrassment, the hand that is not completely lifted and slightly swinging because of the goodbye to his daughter, hiding his cramped heartache and loneliness.
Jogan, who has always been the "killer" Bent's driver, also raised his gun under the principle that Bent does not kill women, but at that time his marksmanship was very bad, but he was already bulletless in the future. Jørgen died heroically, wounded, and he fought alone with several truckloads of German soldiers, and finally his body was beaten into a sieve... that was really a warrior who had to fall on the battlefield.
The "flame" Bent is more relaxed, when he sees that he is surrounded by the Nazis, he comes to the basement, calmly let us see the white pill again, the soldier can fall down like this, making the opponent futile. Therefore, Hoffman, the leader of the SS who has been tracked and assassinated by them, must be in a visceral awe.
When some people's lives are exchanged for money by others, whistleblowers are destined to become despised.
Both Bent and Jogan have fallen, on the land of "fairy tales", and the graves of resistance fighters at the end of the film are like silently telling a story far more cruel than a fairy tale.
But, more thinking, far beyond the film...
