They ate and watched, and when they applauded, they used a metal spoon to knock the aluminum lunch box to "bang". And Dalian's children put a few bricked military green school bags at their doors every day after school as goals, and playing football on the road is a common sight...

Venue layout
The design plot is located on the north side of Dalian Sports Center, the south side of the base is the main road of the city, the surrounding area is mostly new residential and newly built buildings, the lack of block-type public open space, and the west side of the base is the sales office.
Comb through the site conditions and outline the necessary design elements:
1. Iconic sculptures should be placed at the entrance
2. Exploration of the spatial relationship of children's play area
3. The main event venue is formed inside
4. The model house area creates a quiet space, and the children's area is the theme of joy
In the design process, the form is gradually optimized, and the elements such as football, innocence and blue are better combined to create a better activity space.

Project ideation
Dalian has a deep football heritage and culture, and football has been deeply integrated into the blood of the city and has become an inseparable part of the lives of most Dalian citizens! The spirit of "tenacious struggle, courage to forge ahead, and never say defeat" embodied in Dalian football has become the connotation of the city.
Dalian, mountains and seas are connected, bustling reveals quiet, because with the sea, the city is very inclusive, because of the sea, giving the city people a warm and cheerful and open character. Dalian, is also a football thicker than water city, because the venue is located in the north of dalian sports center, but also the home of the Chinese Super League team Dalian Yifang, because the Dalian football team from Shide to Wanda has been so far, the home color and team uniform are blue, so this design uses a most classic football, from which to extract the elements of design, through the design to reflect Dalian's football culture. In addition, the use of football abstract form of the detail language to make a variety of dynamic bear sculptures, very popular with children.

The design of the courtyard continues to continue the mirror stainless steel in the main blue color, and the planting pond has also carefully considered many schemes, evolving from multiple polygons to polygons with arcs, but finally taking the lines extended by the building and cutting them into geometric polygons of different shapes, making the tough geometric polygons and the green soft scenery form a sharp contrast.

Blue Jelly Sea
In the design process, the ultimate pure children's activity venue allows young children to find their own world here. In the final design, we incorporated a lot of the blue color of Dalian Sea, extracted the abstract elements of football and deformed them to create a geometric field, which put more fun and imagination.
Continuing the language of the geometric elements of the football, the combination of triangles and irregular shapes, carefully laid out, makes the entire activity area more dynamic.

A venue for all-age participatory activities

How to design a more perfect children's activity area has also become a hot issue that today's landscape architects need to think more, first of all, a qualified children's activity area should be able to meet the needs of people of all ages, children's activity area is not only for children to use, but also should consider parents and children to play here, children need parents' company, not simple escort. At the same time, children of different ages also have different needs for activity venues. In the process of design, the residential children's playground is designed according to the activity characteristics of children of different ages, and the comprehensive design of multiple dimensions such as dynamic and static partitioning, equipment function, care function, and shading leisure of the venue.

Marker sculpture
There are many kinds of forms and forms of markers, we want to set up a huge cut form of intimate wall LOW POLY bear sculpture to attract attention, on both sides of the entrance are horizontal stretch lines, in order to guide people's attention, so the designer according to the children's innocence, closely combined with the geometry of the football, created a full of cute and ignorant LOW POLY bear, at the entrance want to climb out and say hi ~, and the surrounding environment to form a difference.
The LOW POLY bears on the lawn, each imitating the movements of football players kicking the ball, as if a fierce ball game was about to start in the park. Goalkeeper No. 1 LOW POLY Bears player is in place.

We want a sculpture to be more than just a sculpture. Instead, you can have all kinds of relationships with people and interact with them. Create a climbing space for people to use as a large climbing ride.
The side of the characteristic stool also follows the geometry of the football, and the pavement reflects each other.

Project review and reflection
This project lasted from the end of 2018 to May 2019, Xiaobian sighed, Xiaobian took everyone to see the whole process of the project, countless revision plans, it can also be said that it has experienced nine deaths. During the design period there was a jellyfish-themed series of holographic projection rides and maze standing walls that combined modern technology with children's innocence, but unfortunately it was not preserved. However, after the completion of the whole project, when we saw that each child was very relaxed and free to play in the park, our hearts were also very happy, and the only thing we could do was to constantly reflect and improve, and there was a better presentation in the follow-up project. At the beginning of the program, through the comparison of many programs, the most suitable direction is determined to ensure the final effect and quality, meticulous and meticulous.
