Shams: The Hornets are one of the new teams to inquire about Simmons and the 76ers are not going to lower the asking price

According to Shams, the transaction progress of Simmons is still slow, and competitors are skeptical that the 76ers will lower their offers.

Multiple sources have revealed that the 76ers (rather than trading Simmons now) prefer to wait for Harden or another superstar to arrive in the offseason, so they want to leave Simmons to potential signings and swaps rather than getting available resources in the current market.

In other words, unless the 76ers are struck by a team that has raised their offer sharply by the deadline, the stalemate between Simmons and the team will continue after the trade deadline.

Sources say the Kings and Hawks have been in simmons deal talks lately, but the teams are skeptical that the 76ers will lower their offers by the trade deadline, with sources saying the Hornets have become one of the new teams to inquire about Simmons, but there has been no substantial progress.

The 76ers asked the Kings for Halliburton and multiple first rounds, the Hawks for Collins and multiple first rounds, and the latter for Harris's contract, multiple sources told them that the Kings did not intend to send Fox or Halliburton and wanted to build a team around them.
