At the Shanghai Zoo, there is a pair of South China tiger siblings who are 7 months old and still have no name. They are about to usher in the first Spring Festival of "Tiger Life", and are now calling for names from the majority of netizens.

The South China tiger, also known as the Chinese tiger, is a subspecies of tiger endemic to China. Due to historical overhunting, the South China tiger that was once widely distributed in China has almost disappeared in the wild, and to this day there is still no direct evidence of the existence of wild South China tiger. Known as the "Chinese tiger", the South China tiger has become functionally extinct in the wild, and the zoo has become the last ark of this precious tiger subspecies.

On June 21, 2021, a pair of South China tiger siblings fell to the ground in the native animal area of Shanghai Zoo, and the "Xiaobin" who was first a tiger mother showed a strong motherhood, and the baby tiger grew up healthily under the joint feeding of the mother and the breeder, and was about to usher in the first Spring Festival of "Tiger Life".

When it is 2 and a half months old, the baby tiger will observe the mother eating, try to lick and bite the meat, and gradually transition to weaning and adapting to meat.

Although they were raised by the same tiger mother, the sisters and brothers had different personalities. The sister is bold, eats refreshingly, and the keeper eats quickly when feeding; the younger brother is cautious, always going back and forth to observe several times to confirm safety before eating, so the sister is fatter than the younger brother, and the younger brother is slender. At present, each baby tiger eats 3-4 pounds of meat a day.

Baby tigers love to stick to their mothers, like to climb on their mothers and roll over and walk with their mothers. As the two tiger treasures grew up, they began to learn skills with their mothers, treating their mothers as "prey", creeping forward, swooping, chasing, slapping, tearing, showing bravery and masculinity in their infancy.

On January 24, the Shanghai Zoo issued a name announcement, hoping that the majority of netizens would name the two South China tigers, write down "name + reason + meaning", and send a New Year gift to the two siblings.
