"As a Miao village far away from the county seat, we can develop high-quality rice planting, processing and sales industries, and we can create products such as Liubao 'Alpine Wine', in addition to our own efforts, we are also inseparable from the help of Guizhou Light Industry Vocational and Technical College!" Standing in the terraced fields where he thought he didn't have much trouble, Xiong Jinhua, a villager in the fourth group of villagers in Liubao Village, Jianhe County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, was full of confidence in the rural revitalization strategy that had been fully rolled out.

Liubao Village, a village with hundreds of acres of terraces that can produce high-quality rice, has a good ecological climate, but many young and middle-aged people choose to go out to work to support their families. By the end of 2017, 104 households and 415 people were poor out of 1457 people in the village. "Our village was once a deeply impoverished village!" A resident of the village told reporters.

"Many years ago, I once saw a movie called The Story of Fort Willow, and I was particularly pleased. Today, when we look at the development of Liubao Village, there are also many stories! Chen Jintao, secretary of the party branch of Liubao Village, said that since September 2017, when he "climbed" the "good relative" of Guizhou Light Industry Vocational and Technical College, who was kind to help people, the development of the village has been the same day by day.

Before going to Hangbang Liubao Village, Pu Chaoxin was the chief of the student management section of the Department of Light Industry and Chemical Engineering of Guizhou Light Industry Vocational College. "I am willing to come, on the one hand, because of the strong backing of the school party committee, on the other hand, to test our ability of 'light industry' to serve local economic and social development, I did not expect that both goals were exceeded!" Pu Chaoxin said.

After arriving at Liubao Village, he learned in many household surveys that there are many fields in the village, the mountains are not steep, and there is no shortage of water, which is especially suitable for planting high-quality rice. Due to geographical and market factors, the sales volume and selling price of native pigs and chickens raised here are not ideal. "How can we help villagers get rid of poverty and get rich as soon as possible?" "Can there be hope for the terraces around the village?" Although he had a preliminary understanding of the village situation, he had difficulties in how to solve the problem.

Encounter difficulties to find the mother's family. Pu Chaoxin reported the situation in the village to the school. The secretary and dean decided to support the village's high-quality rice cultivation and native pig and chicken breeding with three meals a day for nearly 10,000 teachers and students in the school. "In addition to our school, I also ran to other colleges and universities in Huaxi University Town, and their support gave me the confidence and determination to carry out help in the village!" Pu Chaoxin said that through the combination of school and agriculture, as of now, the school has purchased more than 100,000 jin of agricultural and sideline products such as rice, native pigs, native chickens and edible mushrooms in Liubao Village, bringing more than 700,000 yuan of economic benefits to the villagers.

Xiao Chenglin, who is nearly sixty years old, is a second group of villagers in Liubao Village, and due to lack of technology, he has become a poor household in Lika. Through the repeated mobilization of Pu Chaoxin and others, he joined the rice planting and processing cooperative and took off the hat of a poor household that he had worn for a long time. In Liubao Village, there are more than 200 villagers like Xiao Chenglin who have made a fortune by relying on the "rice processing" industry.

"People are the key to poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and only by cultivating people into talents can there be hope in rural areas!" Fan Tiegang, secretary of the party committee of the college, has worked in the organization and personnel department, and he is particularly attentive to the cultivation of young talents in Liubao Village.

In June 2020, the college, together with Jianhe County and China Telecom Guizhou Company, adopted the mode of government-school-enterprise cooperation to open a vocational education "precision poverty alleviation order class", and 8 students from families with financial difficulties who dropped out of school to work outside the school were persuaded to return to the campus to continue their studies. For these students, in addition to waiving tuition fees, the Light Industry Vocational College also provides living allowances, bedding and daily necessities, and promises to work as soon as they graduate.

Majors such as winemaking and arts and crafts design are the fist majors of Guizhou Light Industry Vocational College. College leaders believe that these majors are "light" to some extent, and if they are well connected, when forming a combination of fists, they can also benefit most people in the village.

Following this line of thinking, the school sent 3 people, including Doctor of Microbiology and Teacher Wang Kejia, to form a "Doctor Service Team" to Invest 800,000 Yuan in Liubao Village to build an edible mushroom cultivation base, forming an integrated training base of "production, education and research" to provide employment positions for 20 poor households; 3 people were assigned to carry out clothing production and learning training for the employees of the "Jinyun Miao Embroidery" National Garment Factory in the village, providing employment positions for 5 poor households. Fan Tiegang, secretary of the party committee of Guizhou Light Industry Vocational College, Wu Binru, president of the institute, and other leaders have also led experts and scholars to Liubao Village for investigation and research many times, and have become the "spokespersons" for high-quality ecological rice and edible mushrooms in Liubao Village.

In January 2020, after a third-party assessment of the effectiveness of the national precision poverty alleviation work, Liubao Village successfully passed the inspection and acceptance and announced its official withdrawal from the poor village in March, which solved the problem of absolute poverty in a historic way. Due to the effectiveness of the village-based assistance work, Pu Chaoxin won the title of National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation and attended the National Poverty Alleviation Summary and Commendation Conference held in Beijing on February 25 this year.

Liubao Village Introduction: Liubao Village was once one of the deeply impoverished administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Jianhe County, Guizhou Province. In recent years, the two committees of the Liubao Village Branch have been making continuous efforts for the development of the village collective industry, and closely followed the "eight elements" practical methodology of the rural revolution of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee to grasp industrial development.

Since the Guizhou Light Industry Vocational Institute contacted and helped the village, the villagers have developed pig breeding and rice field fish farming, and effectively solved the practical problems of villagers such as "no investment funds and no sales channel" by creating a series of national characteristic brands such as "alpine rice", "sword willow rice", "liubao alpine wine", "shiitake mushroom edible mushrooms" and "splendid clothing".

Today's Liubao Village, the infrastructure is constantly improving, the industrial development is growing, the villagers' income is rising, and the rural revitalization is being fully rolled out.
