Previously, he said, we have sent samples of multiple new coronavirus strains in Mongolia that we have detected to Japan and South Korea for further testing. In Japan, 20 samples of the new coronavirus strains were genetically sequenced, from which the above two variants have been identified.
It is reported that at present, Mongolia has sent samples of 50 new coronavirus strains detected in the last three months to Japan for further testing on May 26, and is currently awaiting its results. (Reporter Darima Basser)
