Jointly build the "Belt and Road" Fujian to accelerate the layout of "two countries double park"

Fuzhou, 21 Jan (China News Service) -- At the beginning of the new year, Fuqing City, Fujian Province, held a business meeting for import and export enterprises of the China-Indonesia "Two Kingdoms And Double Parks" project to promote the construction of the "Two Countries Double Parks" project; a number of enterprises promoted a series of measures to jointly build the "Two Countries Double Parks" project, including plans to open international shipping lines and international aviation lines, build the SF Yuanhong Co-distribution Center, and launch the "Two Countries Double Parks" exclusive courtesy aviation service plan.

Entering the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Fujian, as the core area of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", is accelerating the layout of the "Two Countries and Two Parks" project, jointly building the "Belt and Road" with high quality, and accelerating the formation of a new open economic system of a higher level.

At the two sessions of Fujian Prefecture and City held not long ago, Longyan City promoted the construction of the China-Serbia "Two Countries and Two Parks" project, and Zhangzhou City explored the construction of the China-Philippines "Two Countries Double Parks" Economic and Trade Innovation and Development Demonstration Park. A number of economic experts said in an interview with China News Agency on the 21st that accelerating the layout of the "two countries and two parks" is not only a new model for Fujian to promote high-level opening up, but also a new engine for Fujian to promote the construction of the core area of the "Hai Silk Road" and go deeper and more solid, facing unprecedented opportunities.

At present, Fujian has strengthened the construction of the passage in and out of Fujian, the cooperation of the industrial chain supply chain, and the docking of domestic and foreign markets, and built a major artery connecting the north and south, connecting the east and the west, and connecting the rivers and the sea, so as to become a frontier hub for serving the "Belt and Road" construction, the central and western regions and the surrounding areas, and strive to play an important role in the domestic and international dual cycles such as agglomeration, radiation and service.

On January 10, the Chinese container ship "Xinmingzhou 98" successfully docked at Haitian Terminal, and Xiamen Port opened the first new route of the New Year, berthing in Vietnam, Thailand and other countries along the way. On January 18, the China-Europe Express (Quanzhou-Moscow) was launched, and Fujian opened the third China-Europe Train. Professor Huang Maoxing of the School of Economics of Fujian Normal University believes that the effect of Fujian as an important channel for domestic and international double circulation is becoming increasingly prominent, laying the foundation for the layout of "two countries and double parks" in many places.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) came into effect on January 1 this year, and has also become an important promoter of the layout of "two countries and two parks" in many places in Fujian. Li Yan, chairman of Fujian Zhongzhi Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., believes that a series of substantive benefits such as tariff reduction, trade facilitation, and factor circulation will build a new platform and provide new impetus for regional cooperation between the "two countries and two parks".

Since the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation in January 2021, the China-Indonesia "Two Parks" project has explored the establishment of a twinning cooperation mechanism with industrial interconnection, facilities and reciprocity of policies, promoted the division of labor and cooperation in the international industrial chain, and built an RCEP cooperation demonstration zone. Sun Jun, deputy director of the Asia Department of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, said that under the framework of RCEP, the China-Indonesia "Two Countries And Two Parks" will build a more efficient trade and investment platform, promote free trade policies, explore special customs supervision measures, continue to promote customs clearance facilitation, industrial policy innovation, fiscal and taxation policy guarantees, cross-border RMB settlement and other work; cooperate around key industries such as marine economy, food manufacturing, cross-border trade, equipment manufacturing, energy economy, cold chain logistics, new building materials, electronic information and so on.

The Boer copper mine project invested by Zijin Mining Group in Serbia, headquartered in Shanghang County, Longyan City, is the largest overseas investment project in Fujian Province, and an important carrier and platform for Fujian Province's opening up and cooperation, and Serbia is an important node country for jointly building the "Belt and Road". Daiyang Malinkovic, Consul General of the Consulate General of Serbia in Shanghai, believes that there is a solid foundation for cooperation in the construction of the "two countries and two parks" project between Serbia and China, and hopes to carry out more extensive and in-depth cooperation with Fujian enterprises and introduce new energy, non-ferrous metal deep processing and other projects into the Cypriot park.

Zhangzhou is an important node city of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" and a key hometown of overseas Chinese in Fujian, with a large number of overseas Chinese, and a long history of economic and trade cooperation with the Philippines. The relevant person in charge of Zhangzhou City said that the establishment of the Sino-Philippines "Two Countries And Two Parks" project in Zhangzhou is ripe, has a good foundation and broad prospects.

Quanzhou has also joined hands with Italy to explore a new model of cooperation between the "two countries and two parks". In Huang Maoxing's view, the "Two Countries Double Park" will become a capital, commodity, technology, information and talent exchange and cooperation center between China and countries along the "Belt and Road", and provide innovative exploration for industrial cooperation between China and countries along the "Belt and Road" by building a new mechanism of interconnection.
