After the divorce, she took her son Wang Xiansen, who was suffering from severe thalassemia, to live a life, working part-time, earning money, and giving her son a blood transfusion to continue his life. In January this year, Hyunsen finally looked forward to an opportunity to be admitted to the hospital for transplanted stem cells. Ah Mei hopes that her son's illness can be "broken" through transplant surgery, only in this way, their lives have hope and a way out. However, the day of entering the warehouse is getting closer and closer, and her treatment fees have not yet been paid, which makes Ame worried.

The child was diagnosed with poverty, and she knew that marriage could not be "made up"

In 2005, the 34-year-old Ah Mei was introduced by relatives and married to Zhaoqing compatriot Ah Jun (pseudonym). For this marriage, Amei recalled: "Our age is not small, our respective family conditions are not very good, I wanted to make a living, as long as I am willing to work, even if I live a poor life, I am not afraid." ”

Ah Jun's parents sold pork at a meat and vegetable market in Dashi Subdistrict, Panyu District, Guangzhou, and after marriage, Ah Mei came to Guangzhou with her husband to settle down, and it wasn't long before she found herself incompatible with her husband's personality and living habits.

Ame said that after marriage, she tried to be tolerant and accommodating, especially after pregnancy, and pinned her hopes on her children. In April 2007, a baby boy fell to the ground, and he was Hyun-sen.

However, the relationship between husband and wife has not changed due to the birth of the child, and what makes Amei even more desperate is that the child is seriously ill.

Ame said that when her son was born, he was white and fat, but after more than a month, his complexion became more and more yellow, crying, catching a cold, fever... Ame, who had tossed her first mother, could not live in peace. "The economic conditions at home are not good, let alone can't afford to buy milk powder, even the children's diapers can't afford to buy, they use old mosquito nets to change into diapers." Even if he found that his son was abnormal, but Amei did not have money to take him to check, until December of that year, Xiao Xiansen's face was sallow and pale, Amei made up money and took his son to guangzhou women and children's medical center for medical treatment, and once examined, he found out thalassemia major.

"The doctor explained the reason why the child got sick, and I knew that marriage really can't be 'made up'. My father and I are from the countryside, have not had a marriage test, and do not know that we carry thalassemia genes. Ame said.

Ame recalled that when she walked out of the hospital with Xiao Xiansen in her arms, she was really lost. She was most worried about the economy. When she told her family that the child needed regular blood transfusions and iron drainage to survive, the family helplessly said: "How big can it be?" ”

The child fell ill, and Ame could not go to work separately, so she had to take care of the family full-time and could not increase her income. Due to poor economic conditions, From the time of his diagnosis to more than two years old, Ah Mei has not taken him to a blood transfusion, and he is afraid every day. Fortunately, Xiansen's vitality was extremely strong, and his body was very weak, but he survived.

Until 2009, Xiansen could not stay up, suddenly fainted while playing, was sent to the hospital in Panyu Dashi for rescue, the first blood transfusion in his life, and was out of danger.

In fact, Ame has other options. When her brother learned of her predicament, he repeatedly advised her to return to her hometown in Zhaoqing and start from scratch. "You just have to give the child to his father and everything can be done all over again." Her brother's advice moved Ame, but she couldn't be so cruel. "The child is the most sticky to me, if I leave him, I am not at ease." Ah Mei said that once she had a hard time going out, and before she could go home, she received a call from Ah Jun, telling her to go back and coax the child. "The child woke up and didn't see me, crying incessantly, calling out to his mother. When I went back to see the child, he was crying and sweating. My heart aches."

"My son is not terminally ill, as long as there is a way, I can't watch him lose his life." Since then, Ms. Ame said, she has made up her mind to renew her son's life.

Daytime part-time work, nighttime handicraft weekend work, earning money by "fighting"

The days cannot go on in such a chicken and dog jump. In the end, Ame decided to leave her husband's family and live independently with her children. She and her husband went through divorce procedures and borrowed a single room near her husband's house.

For the sake of her children, Amei works in the factory during the day, works part-time work on weekends, and goes home at night to settle the children, so she begins to cut threads, do manual work, earn money for one dollar and one dime, so as to give her son a blood transfusion, and embark on a difficult blood transfusion road that every poor family has experienced. In order to save money, she was meticulous, staying up until the child's hemoglobin dropped to about 40 every time, and then took him to a blood transfusion to reduce the frequency of free-riding tickets. Unfortunately, the income is too low, and after giving the child a blood transfusion, Amei mother and son will only have living expenses left.

The older Xiansen grew, the more he began iron drainage treatment, and the iron drainage pill was eight or nine hours a dozen. Many patients will buy an iron pump in order to let their children sleep while giving them injections. The instrument is worth thousands of yuan, and Ah Mei is reluctant to buy it, so she has to find a small clinic in the village in the city to dispense medicines and needles, and let Xiansen go home with a needle holder to inject. "At night, I didn't dare to close my eyes at all, for fear that the child's sleeping action would cause the needle to be crooked, unable to get the medicine, and hurt the body." Ame said.

Hyun-sen mentioned to his mother more than once: "I don't want to transfuse blood again, I don't want to get injections, I want you to rest better." After New Year's Day this year, the hospital in Dongguan once again urged Xiansen to be admitted to the hospital for transplantation. The doctor said that Hyunson was almost 15 years old. Without surgery, the risks are getting bigger and bigger. Ame said she had to grit her teeth and take the child to the hospital. Now that Xiansen has passed the physical examination, the transplant warehouse is scheduled at the end of February, and the day of entering the warehouse is approaching day by day.
