After Zhang Dongliang and his teammates boarded the minibus, the vehicle carried them to the day's destination, Ji'a Village, Fanpo Town, Yuzhou City, where they had to take nucleic acid samples for the villagers.
Zhang Dongliang has been practicing for 27 years and has rich medical experience. On January 3, 2022, he received a notice from the Chen Cao Township Health Center that Yuzhou had a sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia and urgently needed medical support. He signed up immediately.
On the afternoon of January 4, snowflakes fluttered in the sky of Xuchang, and the temperature plummeted. When we arrived in Huolong Town, Yuzhou City, it was already evening. After dinner, my teammates and I braved the snow overnight to do nucleic acid samples for the villagers until 4 a.m. the next day. On January 11, in order to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, the Jian'an District Aid Yu Medical Team decided to organize a commando team to do nucleic acid sampling for residents in high-risk areas such as Huolong Town and Xiadu Street Office in Yuzhou City. Zhang Dongliang registered "first time". "I'm a party member, I go first, and I carry it in high-risk areas." In the WeChat work group, he said so.
However, many people will not think that he is a cancer patient in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic, who is like a desperate samurai. In 2019, during a routine screening, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Although the surgery was successful, he still needed to take medication every day to control his condition.
"When I came to Yuzhou, I only brought medicine for two days, and our leader helped coordinate and quickly found medicine for me." When it comes to his illness, Zhang Dongliang did not say much, but talked about the warmth and touch given to him by the local government and residents. "Not only medicine, but the government has prepared delicious meals, change of clothes and cotton jackets for us."
What moved Zhang Dongliang was also a group of people wearing red vests. On the evening of January 6, he and his colleagues went to the Xiadu Street Office to take nucleic acid samples, and in the cold wind, a volunteer accidentally scratched his hand in the middle of the busy and asked him for help. "Looking at them, I was heartbroken. They are not very old, they are the treasures of their parents, but they have stepped forward when the epidemic suddenly broke out. They are heroes. ”
