When the Hangzhou Linping District Procuratorate summoned witness Ms. Li (pseudonym), the other party said "Prosecutor, what happened to my husband" to pull out another crime of Qiu Mou - the crime of bigamy.
On January 21, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Linping District Procuratorate that the local court recently sentenced defendant Qiu Moumou to four years and eight months imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 yuan for contract fraud and bigamy.
In July last year, criminal suspect Qiu Moumou was criminally detained on suspicion of contract fraud. The Linping Procuratorate summoned the witness Ms. Li during the review and prosecution stage, and she nervously asked: "Prosecutor, what happened to my husband", which attracted the attention of the procurator - according to the investigation of the public security organs, Qiu Moumou's spouse is Ms. Yang (pseudonym), which is inconsistent with Ms. Li's identity information.
Ms. Li said that she and Qiu were together in September 2020, and Qiu said that she was divorced. In the Spring Festival of 2021, the two went to Ms. Li's hometown for a wedding banquet and gave birth to a child, but they have not received a marriage license.
When the prosecutor questioned Qiu again, he said that his wife was Ms. Yang and did not take the initiative to mention Ms. Li. The procurator will inform the public security organ of the situation and guide a supplementary investigation into Qiu's marital status.
The police found that in February 2016, Qiu Moumou and Ms. Yang registered their marriage in Anhui, and continued the marriage relationship until the occurrence of the case, and had a daughter. In June 2020, Qiu Moumou met Ms. Li and began to pursue, falsely claiming to be divorced. In September 2020, Ms. Li and Qiu Began to live together, took wedding photos, and returned to Ms. Li's hometown for a wedding banquet during the Spring Festival. Ms. Yang found that Qiu Moumou had not returned home for a long time, and after many quarrels, she went to Shanghai to work in March last year. In July last year, Ms. Li gave birth to a son for Qiu, who was already criminally detained on suspicion of contract fraud.
After learning the truth, Ms. Yang and Ms. Li both said that they could not forgive Qiu Moumou. At present, one of Qiu's sons and daughters are cared for by his parents.
The prosecution argued that during the existence of his marriage relationship with his wife, Ms. Yang, Qiu and Ms. Li lived together in the name of husband and wife, held a wedding and had a son, constituting the crime of bigamy.
