Regarding Wangfuyun, there is a beautiful legend in the local area since ancient times: Dali ancient for the Nanzhao country, the princess of Nanzhao is beautiful, but can only pass the lonely days in the deep palace: there is a brave young hunter on the Cangshan Mountain, because he saved the hunting god Du Joseon, Du made him back to become a "flying man", he was attracted by the sigh and song of the princess of Nanzhao, flew into the deep palace, met and fell in love with the princess. Therefore, on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the hunters flew into the deep palace to rescue the princess, and they lived in the wind eye cave of Yuju Peak and began a happy life.
After the princess disappeared, the king ordered the mage to use a lamp to illuminate the princess's whereabouts, and the mage made a crow to send a message to the princess to go down the mountain, but the mage made an order to send heavy snow to prevent the princess from returning to the official. The princess was too cold to resist the cold, but she was by no means willing to return to the official, so the hunter flew over the Erhai Sea, wanting to steal the Eight Treasures of the Elder of the Jizu Mountain Buddha Gate to give the princess a cold suit, but when the thief returned and flew over the Erhai Sea, she was turned into a stone mule and fell into the Erhai Sea by the mage, and the princess had long hoped that the hunter had not returned, and after her death, she turned into a Wangfu cloud, and she wanted to use the strong wind to blow open the Erhai Sea and save her husband... This moving legend (it was composed by the poets Gong Liu, Xu Jiarui and Lu Ning into different long poems "Wangfu Yun", and was also compiled into a drama by the local white opera troupe and put on the stage), which added infinite charm to this beautiful scenery.
