Xinmin Evening News (reporter Zhang Yuyun) Kunqu opera is known as the "ancestor of a hundred operas", is the oldest existing form of opera in the mainland, and is also one of the three ancient drama styles in the world. On the occasion of commemorating the 20th anniversary of the successful application of Kunqu Opera, the Jiangchuan Cultural Center of Minhang District and Tongji University jointly held an exhibition composed of exhibition boards, exhibits, light boxes and other forms to show the kunqu art to the audience in a combination of pictures and texts.

Combining the educational resources of colleges and universities and the cultural resources of society and the community resources of the government to jointly promote the cultural inheritance of Kunqu opera, the Jiangchuan Special Exhibition of Chinese Kunqu Art and Culture hopes to let the citizens further understand the great achievements of Chinese opera art, so as to better inherit China's excellent traditional culture.

Zhu Chongzhi, a professor at the School of Humanities of Tongji University, said that this special exhibition mainly revolves around the inheritance of artifacts, and we can rarely have a relatively concentrated opportunity to watch artifacts now, from this point of view, this exhibition is very distinctive and very valuable.

Zhang Lei, deputy director of the Jiangchuan Road Street Office, said that the cooperation with Tongji University to hold the exhibition is the first time that Jiangchuan Road Street has carried out campus-site cooperation with universities outside Minhang District, and it is also a useful attempt. It is hoped that through the exhibition, it will tell the melodious charm of Kunqu opera for 600 years, show the thick accumulation of Kunqu culture, and also pay tribute to the predecessors of Kunqu opera.

After the opening ceremony, Zhang Huibo, head of the Tongji University Museum, Zhu Ming, president of the Shanghai International Kunqu Friendship Association, and Yu Lu, vice president of Minhang No. 3 Middle School, explained the exhibits in turn.
