When the Spring Festival is in progress

Some of the contraband temporarily detained at Changsha Railway Station.

Red net moment Changsha, January 20 (reporter Peng Chao) The 2022 Spring Festival began, the passenger flow of Changsha's major stations increased, and all kinds of prohibited items in passengers' luggage also increased. The reporter learned from Changsha Railway Station on January 20 that in the four days since entering the Spring Festival, Nearly 100 prohibited items have been seized at Changsha Railway Station.

At the security checkpoint of Changsha Railway Station, passengers put their luggage items on the security inspection instrument in an orderly manner for inspection, and once suspected contraband is found, the security inspector will ask passengers to open the luggage for further inspection. During today's inspection, it was found that a woman had a pair of scissors in her backpack, and the staff immediately detained it. Since the Spring Festival, Changsha Railway Station has stepped up security inspections to strictly prevent dangerous goods such as guns and ammunition, gasoline, flammable and explosive chemicals and controlled knives from entering the station.

"Many travelers only know that gasoline, explosives, etc. are prohibited, and lack awareness of the dangers of carrying daily necessities such as air fresheners and hair gels." The raw materials for the production of such items are flammable and explosive, and if there is a collision and extrusion or high heat and friction during operation, it is very easy to cause accidents. Zhang Lin, a staff member of Changsha Railway Station, said that because passengers do not have clear regulations on limited items to carry, there are more unqualified items for daily security inspections, and these items will be temporarily detained.

The station specially reminds passengers not to bring dangerous goods such as kerosene, gasoline, alcohol, firecrackers, hammers, axes and controlled knives into the station. It is reported that passengers can carry the following items in limited quantities by train: no more than 20 ml of nail polish, delus remover, hair dye, no more than 120 ml of cold perm, mousse, hair gel, insecticide, air freshener and other self-spraying pressure vessels (all subject to the bottle body printing capacity), 2 small boxes of safety matches, 2 ordinary lighters.
