Beijing News Express According to the official micro-news of the Jining Intermediate People's Court, on January 20, 2022, the Intermediate People's Court of Jining City, Shandong Province, held a public trial of the bribery case of Jiang Yanan, a former second-level inspector of the Shandong Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation, through a remote video system. The Jining Municipal People's Procuratorate sent personnel to appear in court to support the public prosecution, and defendant Jiang Yanan and his defender attended the court to participate in the proceedings.

The Jining Municipal People's Procuratorate alleged that from the beginning of 2009 to March 2021, defendant Jiang Yanan took advantage of his position as secretary and director of the party group of the Jining Local Taxation Bureau and the second-level inspector of the Shandong Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation, as well as the convenience of his authority and status, to seek benefits for relevant units and individuals in project construction, software promotion, bank loan issuance, etc., directly or through the conduct of other state functionaries. The total amount of illegal acceptance of property given by others is equivalent to more than 16.01 million yuan.

During the trial, the public prosecution presented relevant evidence, Jiang Yanan and his defender conducted cross-examination, the prosecution and defense fully expressed their defense opinions under the auspices of the court, and Jiang Yanan made a final statement and expressed his confession and repentance in court.

At the end of the trial, the court adjourned the trial and announced the verdict at a later date.
