Lin Yueshan was born in 1988, and at the age of 5, she had her left leg amputated due to a car accident. In 2010, with the help of the Huizhou Disabled Persons' Federation, he became an archer. After unremitting efforts to improve herself, in 2016, Lin Yueshan won the silver medal in the open category of the archery women's composite bow at the Rio Paralympic Games; in 2019, at the World Championships in the Netherlands, she won the first place in the open team competition of the archery women's composite bow and broke the world record; in the same year, at the Asian Championships in Thailand, she successfully won the ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. On August 29, 2021, she and her partner He Zihao defeated Turkey in the final of the mixed open composite bow team competition with a time of 153 rings: 152 rings, winning the second gold medal for the Chinese Paralympic Archery Team, and she was also the second athlete in Huizhou to win the Paralympic Gold Medal.
