New Hainan Client, Nanhai Net, Nanguo Metropolis Daily January 19 news (reporter Chen Wang) On the morning of January 19, the reporter learned from the press conference on Hainan's economic operation in 2021 that in 2021, the income of Hainan residents will rise to a new level, and the per capita disposable income will exceed 30,000 yuan, reaching 30,457 yuan. The per capita disposable income of Hainan residents took 6 years from 10,342 yuan in 2010 to 20,653 yuan in 2016, while it took only 5 years to go from 20,000 yuan to 30,000 yuan.

In terms of urban and rural areas, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in Hainan will exceed 40,000 yuan in 2021, reaching 40,213 yuan, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year; the per capita disposable income of rural residents will be 18,076 yuan, an increase of 11% year-on-year, and the growth rate will be a new high in the past five years, faster than the urban growth rate of 3.4 percentage points, and the relative income gap between urban and rural residents will continue to narrow, from 2.28 in 2020 to 2.22 in 2021.

Chen Yunxing, a first-level inspector of the Hainan Investigation Corps of the National Bureau of Statistics, believes that the income of urban and rural residents in Hainan in 2021 reflects two major highlights:

First, the stable recovery of the job market is a stabilizer for urban and rural residents to increase their income. With the orderly advancement of the resumption of work and production, the job market has recovered well, and the employment time and working hours of urban and rural residents in 2021 have increased significantly compared with the previous year, basically returning to the pre-epidemic level, and the wage income of urban and rural residents has increased by 0.6% and 11.8% respectively, which is an important support for the increase in urban and rural residents' income.

Second, the substantial growth of net household operating income is the main driving force for the increase of urban and rural residents' income. In urban areas, the consumer market is running smoothly, driving a substantial increase in the net income of non-agricultural operations of residents, in 2021, the per capita net income of households in the secondary and tertiary industries of urban residents will be 4789 yuan, an increase of 1609 yuan over the previous year, and the contribution rate to the increase in urban residents' income has reached 51.6%, effectively making up for the lack of growth momentum of wage income, and becoming the main driving force for urban residents to increase income.

In terms of rural areas, Hainan Province issued the "Twelve Measures to Promote Farmers' Income Increase in 2021", while the "three trees" (rubber, coconut, betel nut) industry has effectively driven rural residents to increase their income, and the net income from forestry operations has increased by more than 1 times. In 2021, the per capita net operating income of rural residents was 7072 yuan, an increase of 947 yuan year-on-year, and the contribution rate to the increase in rural residents' income reached 52.7%, becoming the first driving force for rural residents to increase income.
