More than 2,000 precious historical pictures, more than 3,000 physical objects and cultural relics "hide" a red base in the fifth ring road of Chaoyang District, Beijing - the Beijing Yan'an Cultural Exhibition Center, so that citizens can relive the glorious course of the PARTY Central Committee and the older generation of revolutionary ancestors in Yan'an at their doorstep. On the 18th, a reporter from the Beijing News visited and learned that the "Little Yan'an" in Beijing will be upgraded this year, adding theaters, staging red-themed stage plays such as "Crossing the Snowy Mountain Meadow" and "Flying to Seize luding bridge", launching special projects such as reminiscences and sweet rice, and creating an immersive red education base.

With a group of fascinating sculptures, sonorous and powerful slogans, and a brilliant revolutionary history, "Little Yan'an in the Capital" shows the past and present of Yan'an to the audience. According to Li Yuansheng, director of the Reconstruction Office of the China Yan'an Spirit Exhibition Hall of the China Yan'an Spiritual Research Association, the center covers an area of 20 acres, with a construction area of more than 14,000 square meters, and has four exhibition areas, including the Yan'an Spirit Exhibition, the Beijing Zhiqing exhibition in Yan'an, the exhibition of the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and the exhibition of the "Zhaojin Spirit" in the revolutionary base area of Shaanxi and Gansu. In the exhibition hall, one photo after another and exhibits witness the scenes of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries fighting and living in Yan'an. Precious items such as horse lanterns used by Chairman Mao during the Yan'an War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and telephones used in communications can also be seen here.

The Beijing News reporter learned that as of now, the Beijing Yan'an Cultural Exhibition Center has received more than 5 million people to visit and study for free, and every year around the "July 1st" Party Founding Day, the number of visitors is as high as 100,000, and at present, it has become an important base for more than 200 party and government systems, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, research institutions, state-owned and private enterprises to carry out Yan'an spirit, revolutionary traditions and patriotic education activities. And this year, the software and hardware upgrades will be carried out here, the exhibition layout will add new content, the photos on display will be repaired and improved, at the same time, a small theater will be built, and red stage plays such as "Over the Snowy Mountain Meadow" and "Flying to Seize the Luding Bridge" will be launched. After the transformation, special meals such as "Sweet Rice with Bitter Memories" will also be launched.

All renovations are expected to be completed by the end of October this year, and the upgraded "Beijing Xiaoyan'an" will bring citizens a new red journey.
