According to the British "Evening Standard" reported on the 19th, a British man was sentenced to prison for suspected of confining another man in a shack about 6 feet (1.8 meters) long for more than 40 years.

Investigators said Peter Swells, 56, locked a worker in a green shed and gave him £10 a day, but the conditions in the shed were worse than the Wells' kennel.
In October 2018, investigators at the UK Foreman and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) rescued the then 58-year-old victim from the shed after receiving a secret complaint.
At that time, the police executed a search warrant in a caravan park and found the victim from a small green shed. He looked disheveled and told police he had lived there for 40 years.
The victim then asked if he could wash it, saying he had been washing in the kitchen sink of a building next to the cottage.

Through inspection, the police found that the condition of the shack was very poor. There was only one window there that could not be completely closed, and when the door was closed, the shed was pitch black. An old electric heater with damaged electrical wiring was discarded in the corner of the shed with no other heating equipment inside.
In contrast, the police noted that another shack at the scene where the dogs slept was in much better condition.
The victim said in interviews that he worked on the farm, which included painting, laying slate and asphalt. He said the salary was only £10 a day.
It is reported that the victims were transferred to state institutions on the day they were rescued and have been supported. He now lives in the assigned dormitory.
After a series of investigations, Swells finally pleaded guilty recently.

A senior GLAA investigative officer said: "This is a very distressing investigation. In all my years in law enforcement, I have never seen anything like this... The entire adult life of the victim is exploited. He is now in his early 60s. For 40 years, he had effectively been a slave. ”
