Trae Young had 37 points and 14 assists as the Hawks reversed the Timberwolves

The Hawks defeated the Timberwolves 134-122 at home.

Edwards hit a mid-range shot, Vanderbilt made a quick dunk, Russell chased a three-pointer and the Timberwolves made it 7-0. Hunter scored five straight points before he and Hult hit two long-range shots. The Timberwolves' side, Towns, Edwards and Russell joined forces to give the Timberwolves a 30-16 lead. Prince and Norwell scored nine consecutive points in the final minute, and the Timberwolves scored 42 points in a single quarter, leading by 16 points into the second quarter. Beverley only played for 6 minutes with a sprained ankle withdrew.

In the second quarter, Gallinari came up to score eight straight points and the Hawks narrowed the gap. Russell responded with three three-pointers, and Hunter and Hult responded 7-0. Edwards hit another three points and Hult hit the ball. The two sides played against each other, with the Timberwolves leading 73-61 in the first half.

In the fourth quarter, Wright dunked, Gallinari three-pointers, Lou Wei 2+1, and the Eagles quickly took a 19-point advantage. Beasley and Russell chased the score from three points, but Trae Young suppressed the three-pointer, Collins and Okongu also blocked the ball to get points, and the Eagles once again led by 16 points. Russell made consecutive free throws, Reid made up the basket, and the Timberwolves trailed 118-126 in the final 100 seconds! Trae Young assisted on Gallinari's dunk, Reid hit both free throws, Vanderbilt stole the dunk, and the Timberwolves trailed 122-128 in the final minute!
