In Dong Yifeng's view, the construction of "three valleys" in Chengkou has three main advantages: first, the forest area, living standing wood accumulation and forest coverage rate of Chengkou rank first in the city; secondly, the value of green resources in Chengkou is high, and the value of forest resource assets exceeds 100 billion yuan, which is one of the two natural selenium-rich belts in the country, and it is also a key area for Biodiversity Conservation in China and a global hotspot ecological area; in addition, Chengkou is rich in new energy resources, with an average annual sunshine of 1540 hours, which can be used for photovoltaic power generation time to be stable at more than 1000 hours. Dong Yifeng introduced that with the support of relevant municipal departments, Chengkou photovoltaic and wind power have been built from scratch, with an installed capacity of 380,000 kilowatts of hydropower clean energy, and 80,000 kilowatts of photovoltaics in the second phase of CGNPC. At present, Chengkou has an annual power generation capacity of about 1 billion kWh and a power consumption of 580 million kWh, making it a "green" electricity output city.
"This year, we will also start construction of CGN's 50,000-kilowatt wind power and The Three Gorges Group's 100,000-kilowatt photovoltaic project, build distributed photovoltaics, and carry out the construction of energy storage power stations." In addition to vigorously developing clean energy, Chengkou has also actively developed a new building materials industry and widely promoted clean energy building materials with the goal of building a "zero-carbon city", "zero-carbon park" and "zero-carbon scenic spot" in the process of building the "Dabashan Carbon Valley".
