During a reconnaissance mission, Mickey 7 was accidentally missing and judged to be dead, and after the help of the locals, he returned to the original planet alive, only to find that he was about to be replaced by the new replicant Mickey 8. However, according to Deadline Hollywood, sources pointed out that based on Bong Joon-ho's past adaptation experience, the final version may be different from the novel, and the film has not yet been officially named and is currently in the preparatory stage.
