Goodbye Hunto, great legend

Spanish legend Hento died Tuesday night Beijing time at the age of 88. An era has come to an end.

Hento began his career at Atlético Santander, where he moved to Real Madrid after a brief one-season spell.

He made 600 appearances for Real Madrid, ranking seventh in team history and winning 23 major titles for Real Madrid, a record that no one has surpassed. The hard work of Hento and his companions in that era established Real Madrid's historical position in European football. After retiring from the army, he became president emeritus of Real Madrid until his death.

Raised in a Real Madrid family, Hento was a pure Madridist, and according to his family, he also wore a Real Madrid shirt when he died, as he always slept with it. His younger brother Antonio and two nephews, Paco Llorente and Julio Llorente, were also real Madrid players, and Paco Llorente's son is now known as Marcos Llorente.

Hento was one of the greatest stars of the last century and was named the best player in Spanish history by IFFHS. With 12 La Liga titles and six Champions League titles, these two records are unique in history and have not been broken decades later. He is also the player with the most wins in the history of the national derby (21).

The great deeds of the predecessors have been recorded in the annals of history for future generations to remember forever. May Hento rest in peace in heaven and go all the way!
