In this way, the master never returned, and the apprentice waited for two days and did not see anyone, so he was alone in the valley, accompanied by green mountains and rivers, picking wild fruits for food, and making friends with birds and flowers.
The heart is extremely quiet, the inspiration is like a spring, gushing out, then take out the flute, improvise, and then create "High Mountain And Clear Water" and "Water Valley Long Stream" two great divine comedies.
After Master returned, he said with great joy, "Not bad, this time there is no vain coming, let's go, let's go back." ”
It turned out that Master's original intention was to let himself be alone in this valley in the middle of the night to see if he had any understanding, which could be described as well-intentioned.
The Tao Te Ching says: "Silence is better than dryness, and cold is better than heat." Tranquility is the righteousness of the world. ”
It means that tranquility is better than noise, and cold is better than heat. Only when the heart is calm and the thoughts are clear can we see the origin of the Dao.
In the second half of life, there is no need to stay away from the red dust, nor do you need to cultivate in the mountains, but it is the best way to live to leave yourself a period of time alone, listen to the call of the heart, let the past return to zero, and let the distracting thoughts drive away.

Alone for self-cultivation
There is a cloud in the Tao Te Ching: "Lonely and lonely, independent and unchanging, circumnavigating without dying, can be the mother of the world." ”
This means that the avenue is silent and empty, does not rely on any external force to operate, and repeats the cycle without interruption.
Practicing independently and living out oneself is in accordance with the Dao Fa, and man is the evolution of the Dao.
Only by conforming to nature can we be satisfied and not be bothered by trivialities.

In a remote, wilderness deep mountain, there lives an old man and a young man.
After the old man learned that his time was short, he was worried that the child would not take care of himself, so he thought of a way to test the child.
The old man said, "Child, I'm going to go out for a long trip, about a month or so, and you take good care of your family." ”
The child was a little anxious at this time, and said: "Grandpa, you are gone, leaving me alone, but what can I do?" ”
The old man smiled and said, "You always have to learn to live alone, and I can't accompany you for a lifetime." ”
The child nodded thoughtfully.
A month later, Grandpa came back and said to the child, "How' it goes, how is life in my absence?" ”
The child said excitedly: "I am doing well, in your absence, I learned to cook, stir-fry, go down the mountain to fetch water, wash clothes, clean, and take care of puppies." Every day was fulfilling. ”
Independence is the time when a person grows the fastest, and in independence, people correct themselves and improve themselves, so as to achieve themselves.
Marie Curie said: "The road must be walked by yourself, so that it can be wider and wider."
In this life, no one can accompany you all the time, only yourself.
