For more than four decades, Zaha Hadid has achieved both her significant achievements in architecture and interdisciplinary research and development, especially the design firm set up by ZHD for her, focusing on fashion, jewelry, furniture and installation works, whose designs break through traditional frameworks and streamlined aesthetics.

Recently, ZHD and Karimoku have teamed up to launch a new Seyun series, which is overseen by Zaha Hadid's design directors Woody Yao and Maha Kutay, and Karimoku craftsmen, combining tough guy-like wood with craftsmanship, incorporating Zaha Hadid's usual organic smooth lines at every turn of the detail, and the back and seat are precisely structured, thus outlining incredible beauty and comfort.

The Japanese wooden furniture brand Karimoku began in the 1940s in the timber line, the successor of today's timber shop Masahira Kato set up a carpentry workshop in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, and constantly accumulated woodworking and painting technology, fully exuding craftsmanship and sensual design elements, so that Karimoku's products in addition to elegant appearance, but also in the internal structure and assembly and other invisible details are also solid and stable.

Crafted from wood, the entire Seyun collection showcases Zaha Hadid's unique meandering silhouette and rigorous engineering structures and a series of asymmetrical siamese design surfaces. In this regard, Woody Yao said, "Through Karimoku's state-of-the-art technology and process technology, this cooperation will completely implement ZHD's unmistakable design language and highly creative design methods into a series of high-quality works."
