"Hydrogen Blue" meets "Oil Red" to fuel the Winter Olympics

On January 15, 20 days before the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the PetroChina Golden Dragon Integrated Energy Service Station in Yanqing District, Beijing, was busy, with two 35 MPa and two 70 MPa hydrogen refueling stations particularly conspicuous, and the Jinlong Hydrogen Refueling Station is currently the largest hydrogen refueling station with a continuous refueling capacity of 70 MPa in the world. "Hydrogen blue" and "petroleum red" shine together, and dozens of special hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for the Winter Olympics are lined up in an orderly manner, waiting for hydrogenation.

"Come and go, go up a little, go a little further..." Early in the morning, Zhang Songbo, the manager of the Yanqing team of the third branch of the PetroChina Beijing Sales Company, the manager of the Golden Dragon Gas Station, and the person in charge of the Yanqing Winter Olympic SkiddIng Project, got busy with several colleagues.

Officially put into operation on September 30 last year, Jinlong Integrated Energy Service Station is PetroChina's first integrated energy service station and one of the four hydrogen refueling stations within the red line of the Winter Olympics, which can provide refueling, refueling, hydrogenation, charging and convenience store "five-in-one" services to achieve one-stop energy supply. Here, a group of young oil people use responsibility and responsibility to "cheer up and cheer" to ensure the Winter Olympics.

The Golden Dragon Service Station has a more core of appearance. Inside the house, the daily traffic flow, pitting rate and other information recorded on a smart screen are clear at a glance, "This is a treasure in our station." Zhang Songbo said.

Li Xinxin, duty manager of the service station, said that in order to better serve the Winter Olympics, the 228-square-meter convenience store opened by the service station has three areas of immersive shopping, Kunlun hospitality freshly ground coffee, entertainment and leisure, especially the "ice pier" and "snow rongrong" and other Winter Olympic souvenirs are more festive and welcomed by customers.

Looking down from the top of Xiaohaituo Mountain, a 30-kilometer-away winter Olympic alpine ski center, a bright red color is particularly dazzling in a snowy sky - PetroChina Winter Olympic ski installation oil supply device.

On November 12, 2019, PetroChina received a call for assistance from the construction site of the Winter Olympics for emergency fuel supply, "Please distribute gasoline and diesel to the National Alpine Ski Center in Yanqing as soon as possible." This is the first time that PetroChina has supplied oil for the Winter Olympics as an oil supplier.

Time is tight and the task is heavy. The Badaling Gas Station, managed by Zhang Songbo, is the closest gas station to the National Alpine Ski Center. Zhang Songbo was well aware of the importance of this mission and immediately accepted the "military order".

In November, the night temperature on Haituo Mountain is as low as -20 °C, and the cold wind is bone-chilling. The first time to send oil to the National Alpine Ski Center, Zhang Songbo and his companions did not dare to be careless for a moment, with many years of work experience, they urgently purchased oil storage barrels, equipped with hand-cranked pumps, coordinated with the local public security department, and communicated with the company distribution plans, full cooperation, only 3 and a half hours to send 2800 liters of diesel, 400 liters of gasoline to the Olympic Organizing Committee designated receiving place, completed the snow grooming and all-terrain vehicle fuel filling work, to ensure the normal operation of the preparation for the Winter Olympics.

After completing the oil refueling work of the last snowmaking equipment, the leaders of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee gave Zhang Songbo a thumbs up: "The efficiency of PetroChina is really high, give you praise!" ”

In view of PetroChina's excellent supply guarantee, on November 13, 2019, the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee clearly designated PetroChina to be responsible for oil supply assurance during the Winter Olympics testing period at the supply guarantee and matchmaking meeting.

In order to safely and efficiently ensure the construction of Winter Olympic venues, on November 20, 2019, PetroChina Third Branch mobilized manpower and material resources to start the construction of the ski equipment for petroChina Yanqing Winter Olympic Ski Center at the National Alpine Ski Center in the Yanqing Area of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Eleven months later, a sledded station printed with brightly colored gemstone flowers was officially put into operation at Little Haituo Mountain. The oil tank and the oil dispenser of the skid-mounted oil supply device are integrated, and the safety and explosion protection standards are higher, which is suitable for the on-site supply of the event.

Less than two months after the official operation, a heavy snowfall in December 2020 brought challenges to daily fuel supply. The skid-mounted fuel supply facility is surrounded by gravel, and the snow car cannot drive over and cannot refuel. Zhang Songbo immediately decided to work with Yin Ruixing, manager of the skid loading Station No. 1, to pour oil from the skid supply facility into the oil drum for manual refueling.

At a low temperature of minus 30 ° C, Zhang Songbo and Yin Ruixing carried 30 liters of oil drums and traveled back and forth between the skid-mounted oil supply facilities and the snow-making snow car for more than 7 hours, filling more than 70 snow groomers, snowmobiles and snowmaking equipment.

The working and living conditions in the mountains are very difficult. The ski-mounted fuel supply unit is built in the end area of the alpine race at an altitude of 1600 meters, and 3 meters away from it is a mobile room of less than 10 square meters, which is the office and living area of Zhang Songbo and two colleagues during the oil supply, which only has tables, chairs and beds.

At that time, there was no signal on the mountain, and compressing biscuits and instant noodles became commonplace. "The conditions on the mountain are a little bitter, but when I think of our contribution to the Winter Olympics, it doesn't feel like much!"

As of January 17, PetroChina has been supplying oil for the construction of Winter Olympic venues and the use of sports vehicles for 797 days, with a total supply of gasoline and diesel fuel totaling 530,100 liters. To add enough oil and guarantee for the Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhang Songbo and the young team are full of energy.
