The 2nd Im Cross-Strait Youth Film Festival will be held in Pingtan, Fujian Province, from August 24 to 29, 2021. As a film festival still in the childhood, new tracks, new ideas, new sense of body. From this year's 1376 entries, the post-00 generation has become the mainstream of applicants, and we seem to see the trend of the fire gradually becoming. They are like a seaweed plant without a fixed posture, refusing to be pruned by the gardener, growing freely, and gradually growing the appearance of a young filmmaker.

The works often reflect the rapidly developing current environment with the difficulties encountered by individuals in their daily lives. Hu Zhifeng is the deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Beijing Film Academy (presiding over the work). Born in 1965, graduated from Shandong University, Beijing Normal University, Doctor of Literature. He is the first "Yangtze River Scholar" Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education in the academic field of Chinese media; one of the founders of the discipline of Chinese radio and television art; the main founder of Chinese television aesthetics research; the founder of Chinese media art research; and the famous TV program planner. Chen Lingzhen, co-founder and CEO of CNEX, member of the Academy of Film Arts, and member of the Documentary Selection Committee. She is committed to discovering talents and supporting and promoting the internationalization of Chinese documentaries. Ms. Chan has produced and produced dozens of films and documentaries, including "1428", which won the best documentary on the horizon of the Venice Film Festival, "Musical Life" and "Hip Hop Frenzy" at the Golden Horse Awards, "Young Zhao" at the Hong Kong International Film Festival Documentary Jury Prize, "Plastic Kingdom", which won the Grand Jury Prize in the Newcomer Section of the Amsterdam International Documentary Festival and was shortlisted for the World Documentary Section of the Sundance Film Festival, and "Great! Hao Lei, film and television actress, born in 1978 in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, graduated from the Acting Department of Shanghai Theater Academy. His film "Silver Empire" won the Best Film Award at the 29th Hawaii International Film Festival. With his starring role in the movies "Floating City Mystery", "Dear", "Golden Age", he was nominated for the Golden Horse Award, the Academy Award for Best Actress, and the Best Supporting Actress Award several times. Among them, "The Fourth Painting" won the 47th Golden Horse Best Supporting Actress Award. Zhang Dalei is a young film director and screenwriter. In 2006, he graduated from the Department of Directing at St. Petersburg State Film and Television University in Russia. In 2015, he completed his feature film debut "August", which won the Best Feature Film and Fibisi Film Critic Award at the 53rd Taiwan Golden Horse Awards, the Directors Guild Best Young Director Honor, and the Jury Award of the University Student Film Festival. In 2018, he completed the film "Blue Train" and was shortlisted for the Pingyao International Film Festival and the Tallinn Night International Film Festival in Estonia. At this year's IM Cross-Strait Youth Film Festival, we worked with CNEX to create a "Life and Death" creative training camp. This bootcamp seeks to be a "filter" for new opportunities that are emerging in the film industry in the post-pandemic era. From a pure and professional point of view, we screen out the good works that really belong to young directors in this rushed era. Hsu Hsiu Ming, a representative of the new Taiwanese director who emerged in the 1990s.
