According to Taiwan's Economic Daily, the "2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival" will be officially lit in the Exhibition Area of Weiwuying in Kaohsiung City on February 15 this year. Today (19th), the main lights and small lanterns of the Lantern Club were released.

The Taiwan Lantern Festival entered the 33rd session and returned to Kaohsiung after 20 years, with the Weiwuying exhibition area and the Love River Bay exhibition area as the dual exhibition area. In order to make a breakthrough in the "2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival", this year will create a new style of the Taiwan Lantern Festival with three major characteristics: cross-border calligraphy art of the main lamp, a new style of traditional lamp art, and the on-site experience of the theater experience.
The main lamp is the first to combine the art of calligraphy, with cross-border cooperation between artists and calligraphers, with the theme of "Phoenix Flying", and the cursive "Phoenix" character to think of the main lamp shape, while echoing the exhibition place Ofsan, Kaohsiung Fengshan.
The most popular small lantern for children, named "Daji Tiger" this year, with the folk belief in children's patron saint "Tiger Ye" as a Q version design, and written on the tiger's palm "Daji" and "Dali", in addition to being available for children to play with lanterns, you can also sit on the table, as a tiger doll praying for peace.
The "2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival" will officially turn on at 7 p.m. on the day of the Lantern Festival on February 15 (Tuesday), followed by a main light show every hour on the hour and 30 minutes until February 28 (Monday).
