Big Van Gundy: KD's absence hit the Nets hard, but Irving can play in 14 of the next 24 games

Live Bar Jan. 19 Former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy tweeted this morning about the Nets' next schedule.

"Durant's absence was a huge blow to the Nets, but fortunately the Nets had 16 of their next 24 games on the road, including 14 away games Irving could play, and the Nets performed better on the road throughout the year, with a 15-5 record (second in the league this season) and a home record of 12-11," the tweet read. ”

On Jan. 16, during the Nets' home game against the Pelicans, Durant was knocked to his knee by teammate Brown during a defensive break. The Nets then officially announced: Durant sprained the medial collateral ligament of his left knee. Woj added: "The Nets are optimistic inside that Durant can come back after 4-6 weeks of rehabilitation. ”

The Nets' away vs. Warriors (Jan. 30) and Nets' away vs. Knicks (Feb. 17) games prevented Irving from playing due to local epidemic requirements.

As of now, the Nets have a record of 27 wins and 16 losses, ranking third in the East.
