Five zoos in Japan held a "capybara bathing contest" this month, and the winners came from a zoo in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, who spent nearly two hours in the hot springs.

On the 8th of this month, five capybaras from Saitama, Tochigi, Nagasaki, Ishikawa and Shizuoka participated in the "Grand Finals" at their respective zoos. The Izu Cactus Zoo in Ito City sent a 1-year-old female capybara "Pol" to compete. It is reported that Pol loves to take a bath and finished second in last year's competition. This year, Ball continued to work hard, winning the championship in 1 hour, 58 minutes and 38 seconds, far ahead of the second place (7-year-old female capybara "Aoba" in Nagasaki Prefecture). And this is the second time that the capybara at the Izu Cactus Zoo has won after 7 years.

According to the keeper, "Pol likes to relax at his own pace, and bathing is his pastime. I am very happy that Pol has won the title. ”
