Chaoyang District of Shantou City has created demonstration films and pilot villages for the improvement of rural style, and demonstrated the improvement of rural style and boosted rural revitalization by leading the way. As of January 2022, 12 pilot villages have basically completed the construction task, and 38 of the 52 demonstration projects in Haimen Town, Chaoyang District, have also been completed, and the rural style has been greatly improved.

Kengwei Village is one of the five villages in the demonstration film of Haimen Town for rural revitalization, 10 of the 14 construction projects have been completed, and the remaining 4 projects are being stepped up, of which the main steel structure of the tourist station project has been basically completed and entered the indoor and outdoor decoration stage. The project is expected to be fully completed and put into service by the end of March 2022.

The three projects under construction in Kengwei Village Agricultural Innovation Practice Base, E-commerce Station, and Panoramic Guide Map have been stepped up simultaneously. 10 projects, such as agricultural science and technology park, pastoral flood control and drainage, trail paving, greening and beautification, restoration of the old site of the militia camp, and beautification of the façade of the farmhouse, have been fully completed, showing a strong new rural atmosphere.
Chaoyang District will Be Haimen Town "outer four pieces" of xindi, Jinghai, Kengwei, Hongdong, Hubian 5 villages as a rural style improvement demonstration film for planning and design, continuous construction, relying on the basic resources and advantages of the five villages, highlighting the individual characteristics of the village, with the goal of industrial prosperity, ecological livability, rural style civilization, effective governance, and affluent life, to create a high-grade, distinctive national rural revitalization demonstration film, Guangdong Province rural revitalization new business card, Shantou City rural revitalization leading brand. As of January 2022, 38 of the 52 haimen demonstration films have been completed, and 14 projects under construction are being fully accelerated, and the construction of rural style improvement demonstration films has achieved remarkable results.

Chaoyang District will be along the national highway, provincial highways, highway entrances and exits and other important lines and nodes of the Heping Town Liangang Village and other 12 villages (communities) as a pilot village for style improvement, each village (community) to give 1.5 million yuan of subsidy funds, start the rural style improvement demonstration point project planning and design, and combined with the current rural stock of farm houses to carry out "micro-transformation", the village beautification, greening, lighting. As one of the pilot villages, Liangang Village has grasped planning and construction according to local conditions, and solidly promoted the construction and supporting projects of trails on both sides of the village road, supporting railings, greening and beautification of cultural squares, painting the façade of old farmhouses, and construction of four small gardens, so that the village style has been renewed and greatly improved.
As of January 2022, the 12 pilot villages in the region have basically completed the construction task, gradually improving the overall style of Chaoyang countryside from point to surface, from surface to surface, from surface to inside, improving the livability level of rural areas, accelerating the development of agricultural and rural modernization, and continuously enhancing the happiness, sense of gain and security of the vast number of peasants.
