Huang Zongying in his youth (infographic)

In the early morning of December 14, the famous performance artist and writer Huang Zongying died at the age of 95.

Born in Beijing on July 13, 1925, Huang Zongying thought of being a nurse and a teacher when she was a child, but she never wanted to be an actress.

Enter the industry

In the troupe to save the scene "Metamorphosis" thus stepped onto the theatrical stage

Huang Zongying recalled before his death that because he worshipped his eldest brother Huang Zongjiang when he was a child, he was deeply influenced by him. Therefore, in 1941, the eldest brother wrote to him that the Shanghai theater troupe had just been established, and it was precisely on the occasion of employing people that Huang Zongying did not hesitate to leave for Shanghai. In the Shanghai Professional Theater Troupe hosted by Huang Zuolin, he helped with the pipes and equipment, and usually rehearsed with the actors.

Once, the troupe performed Cao Yu's "Metamorphosis", an actress was absent for no reason, and Huang Zongying was temporarily asked to play. She recalled that she was very panicked backstage, suddenly could not remember when she should be on the stage, just when she was panicked, she did not know who pushed it, and Huang Zongying came to the stage. The lights on the stage were very bright, and she couldn't even see the big brother on the stage, let alone the audience under the stage. The panicked Huang Zongying recited his own lines hard, "The stage is very chaotic, dragging me to the ground, I stomped my shoes and fell off, backstage, the egg fried rice I called before was also cold." Huang Zongying, who felt that he had messed up, was very frustrated, but he did not expect that after the play was over, Huang Zuolin said to her, "Little sister, I will pay you back tomorrow." ”

In this way, 16-year-old Huang Zongying was "fixed for life" and thus stepped onto the stage of drama. In 1942, "Sweet Sister" made Huang Zongying red on the beach and is still known as "Sweet Sister".

Bonded with the movie, I have a deep affection for "The Crow and the Sparrow"

In 1946, Huang Zongying acted in his first film, Shen Fu's "Chase", playing a big lady of a comprador family, sympathizing with and covering for her cousin to participate in the revolution, and was thus caught by the directors of Kunlun Factory, Chen Liting and Zhao Danxiang, and in the early summer of 1947, she came to Shanghai from Beijing and participated in "Rhapsody of Happiness". This movie made Huang Zongying and Zhao Dan make love, and then Huang Zongying starred in "The Crow and the Sparrow", "Li Ren Xing", "Home", "Nie Er" and so on.

Among them, Huang Zongying has the deepest affection for "The Crow and the Sparrow", in which she plays the mistress of a small Kuomintang bureaucrat, and her performance can be described as subversive for herself. It was from this film that Huang Zongying changed from a natural actor to a character actor, "This film, we shot in the cannon to welcome liberation, filmed in a down-to-earth manner, with sound and color."
