Barcelona want to sign a quality left-back to challenge Alba's main position. For years, Barcelona have wanted a left-back substitute. According to the TYC, Barca are interested in Thaliafico. The player is currently playing for Ajax and the club will be bidding for the left-back for €7 million.

This season, Tagliafico has played 10 games for Ajax in the league, but has only started twice. Tagliafico started in all of Ajax's games last season, however his status has declined this year and the players want to leave the squad.

Tagliafico was earlier linked to Aston Villa and Chelsea as well as other Premier League teams and Barcelona's addition could change that entirely.
