Harley Berry "Heartbreaks" says no other black woman has won an Oscar in 20 years: Harley Berry's life achievements:

author:Haiti life is good

Halley Berry was once again at this year's Oscars, but she wasn't in the mood to celebrate.

She played a cage fighter in Scars and directed the film.

But no amount of applause can hide the pain Harley feels, and she's still the only black woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress.

When she won an Oscar for her outstanding performance in "Dance of the Death Row", that moment was hailed as the defining moment in Hollywood, and it was the same for her.

She held back tears and told Hollywood's elites: "This moment is much more important than mine. The prize is for every unknown, unknown white woman, because tonight the door has been opened and they now have a chance. ”

Nearly 20 years later, Harley, 54, may once again be touted as a top contender for the Academy Awards in April.

But it wasn't the result she had hoped for.

She said: "What breaks my heart is that I really thought that night meant that shortly after that, there were other white and black women standing by my side.

"It's been 20 years now and no one has ever done that, so every time I go to an Oscar, I think very seriously, 'Well, maybe this year, maybe this year.'"

"It's heartbreaking that no one else is standing there.

"Arguably, there may be other women who deserve to go there who haven't been there, and I hope that in 20 years, there will be other people around me." That moment is important because over the years a lot of people have come to me and told me how that moment changed their minds about what they could achieve, what they aspired to do, or what they believed they could do, and they were touched by that moment. I know that's the real value. Since the inaugural Academy Awards in 1929, 92 white stars have won Best Actress. Harley, a bond girl in the 2002 film Dead Come Back, is the only black actress to win the top award, though 12 more are nominated. Eight black stars have won Best Supporting Actress awards over the years. But decades of racial and gender inequality have plagued Hollywood. Harley worries that campaigns like Oscar White's don't seem to have changed much.

The original new role in Scales Was created for a 25-year-old white Irish girl, but Halley persuaded the producers to let her play a fighter on her way back. She said: "I knew the role of 'written form' could not be me. But what I like is that it's a classic fight movie. "People like to support the weak." I love the breaks and breaks in this character, and I love watching a movie about redemption. "I want to see people's spirits take off and see people transcend obstacles.

"It's something that most people think of because we're all struggling in this way in some way. We're all trying to survive, trying to get things done, trying to get ahead for ourselves and our families.

"So there's a lot of stuff I know instinctively.

"My job is how to convince the producers who own the rights to the film to have me reimagine the film for a middle-aged black woman, and how I play the fighter and tell the story."

Harley came up with a different character, reinvented the world, characters, and neighbors it set, and threw it to the producers.

They agreed, she was surprised, and then asked her to go find her own director. In the end, she believes she can play this role too.

The Kyrgyz-born Shevchenko showed Harley the skill, and the two became very good friends. But to say the least, the shooting was quite tough. In an orgasmic duel, Harley was hit in the chest by her knee and broke two of her ribs. Harley, a mum of two, who is fully involved in jiu-jitsu, judo, taekwondo and taekwondo, says: "When you do your own stunts like me, you have to accept that there are accidents. Harley set up her own production company in 2014, hoping that young black actresses would also be directors.
