Tess — a pure and kind woman

Why I chose to major in English language and literature, I am afraid that I will laugh and be generous when I say it. Because in middle school I was afraid of math, and of course I was afraid of high numbers in college. So which majors do not need to learn high numbers has become my ambition. Yes, there is no future career planning, just on your own will. Chinese, I'm tired of learning; journalism, when a reporter has to run errands; the law, or forget it, I'd rather memorize words than die in the letter of the law. Therefore, majoring in foreign languages became my last ambition.

I thought I had a good foundation in English, and as a result, the word interest made me appear in its original form, and my pronunciation was ridiculed by the teacher in class. I, a baby girl from a small county, have never questioned how the teacher taught us how to read. This experience left me feeling frustrated. Secondly, listening is also my weakness, the teacher will also send kindness in the English class and grammar class, explain it with Chinese, other teachers like English and American literature and English extensive reading are all taught in English, I feel very difficult, just like listening to the book, the foreign teacher's oral and writing class is not to mention, I really start to regret it now, but it is too late to change the major. Just take it one step at a time!

Tess — a pure and kind woman

What impressed me the most was a class in English literature by Professor Liu, a veteran professor who explained to us Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles that day, and I only remember him mentioning the Stonehenge site in Wiltshire, England, where Tess was taken away by the police and finally hanged. Tess will always be pure in my heart, even if she was seduced and conceived and gave birth. She had never loved that person—a rich boy, so she chose to leave and nurse the child alone. Unfortunately, the child later died prematurely. In order to make a living, Tess went to work on a dairy farm, where she met and met the true love of her life, the young priest Claire, and the two fell in love with each other at first sight. But Tess was afraid that Claire would not be able to accept her past. She wrote her history of humiliation in a letter, and then shoved the letter through the crack in the door into Claire's room. That night she tossed and turned, uneasy in her heart. She couldn't imagine how Claire would react when she saw the letter, and maybe all the good things would be over. To her surprise, the next day Claire was still affectionate with her, without the slightest change. Later, she found her unopened letter in the corner of his room, and realized that Claire hadn't seen it at all. In any case, she saw this as Heaven's favor for her, and she didn't want to lose the only love that belonged to her this time. Later, the two are married, and on the first night of their wedding, Claire confesses to Tess against the fireplace that she once lived with a woman older than herself for a while, and he asks for Tess's forgiveness. His sincerity touched Tess, and Tess told Blair about her past, and Blair was silent. Tess felt frightened and uneasy, "Blair, please have a word, okay!" Blair remained silent, and then he pushed the door out, dragging his heavy footsteps slowly through the cold night. He couldn't believe that his pure new wife had such a dirty past. His spirit was utterly shattered, and he walked silently all night, and at dawn he made a painful decision: to leave Tess and go on a distant mission. It was a cruel decision, for both. Either way, Tess never forgot her husband, Blair, even as a coolie on a beetroot-digging farm in the cold winter. The rich man had come to Tess and asked her to be his mistress, but she resolutely refused him. Until one day, Tess's father died, and the family was forced to live on the streets. Unable to bear to watch her mother and siblings starve and freeze, Tess could only betray herself and promise to be the man's mistress. A few years later, Blair returned, and he looked everywhere for Tess, and when he found her, Tess said only one word, "It's too late." Seeing Blair sadly leaving, Tess was also in pain. She hated the man, the one who had taken her virginity and finally possessed her, so she grabbed the knife and stabbed him in the chest. As the train slowly moved, Tess jumped on the train and found Blair, and they began to flee. Eventually, at the Stonehenge site in Wiltshire, England, she was arrested. "Finally I don't have to run away, I'm too tired."

Tess — a pure and kind woman

Although Tess has a disgraceful past, she is loyal to love. Even if he starved and worked hard, he did not betray himself, betrayed his love, and finally could not bear to see his family living on the street, and had to submit to that person. She will always be beautiful and pure in my heart. Why is it that women can forgive men for their previous mistakes while men cannot tolerate women's previous mistakes! If Blair could forgive Tess on the wedding night, how could he have caused such an irreparable ending in the future! Man, I only blame you for being too narrow-minded and missing such a good woman!
