The Liar is a South Korean crime drama film produced by Doodoong Films, directed and written by Jang Chang-won and starring Hyun Bin, Yoo Ji-tae, Bae Sung-woo and Park Sung-woong, released in South Korea on November 22, 2017.
The film mainly tells the story of the prosecutor working with a clever scammer in order to solve a fraud case with a total of 4 trillion won and up to 30,000 victims.
Liar plot
There is a news on the TV that Zhang Douqi, the great liar who shocked the whole country, has died. But there are rumors in society that he is still alive, that the upper leaders deliberately spread false information in order to shield him. Ji Xing, a liar who specializes in deceiving the liars, believes that Jang Doo-chi must still be alive and proposes to the prosecutor, Park Hee-so, how to arrest him. Prosecutor Park gathers the three secretly searched gangs Gao Xitong, Haruko, and Chief Kim, and asks them to follow Ji Xing close to The Dive's confidant Guo Chengjian. Ji Xing found that in addition to arresting Jang Doo-chi, Prosecutor Park actually had other intentions, and in order not to lose himself, he also began to make another set of plans.
