According to PV-Tech, the global photovoltaic industry will achieve leapfrog development in 2021, with the overall production capacity and shipments of the photovoltaic industry exceeding 190 GW, which is highly consistent with PV-Tech's forecast for 2021 at the end of 2020. The shipment ranking forecast results are mainly based on the continuous tracking of the annual capacity and shipments of each component company. According to public information, in 2021, Trina Solar modules plan a total production capacity of 50 GW, of which 210 modules account for more than 70% of the production capacity, and the cumulative shipment volume exceeds 16 GW, ranking first among all large-sized battery module companies.

According to statistics, as of now, the cumulative shipment of 210 modules worldwide has exceeded 25 GW. At present, the proportion of ultra-high power modules in many overseas GW and 100 MW projects around the world is rising. As the photovoltaic industry as a whole enters the 600W+ era, the value of 210 technologies and products will be further fully released; at the same time, the demand for 210 modules in the global photovoltaic market is also growing year by year, which will effectively promote the continuous expansion of global high-power module production capacity and shipments.

In the past two years, with the joint efforts of upstream and downstream related enterprises in the solar photovoltaic power generation industry, the 600W+ industrial chain has taken the lead in standardizing from the smooth supply of raw materials to the size of 210 components, and the inverter and tracking bracket have been fully adapted, and the ecology has further matured. With the use of large-size modules and supporting product technologies as the basis for capacity expansion by battery and module enterprises, 210 modules have become a clear new direction for the development of the photovoltaic industry, and have also become the biggest hot spot in the industry in 2021. Because battery and component companies have chosen to expand their production capacity based on 210 technology, large-size production capacity is expanding rapidly. According to the latest report of Jibang Consulting, the total production capacity of large-size batteries will account for about 64% in 2022, of which 210 will be 260.4 GW, accounting for 50.2%; in 2022, the production capacity of large-size modules will reach 349.9 GW, accounting for 74.6% of the total market, of which 210 modules will reach 206.8 GW, accounting for 44.1%.
