Zhejiang procuratorial organs prosecuted Xiao Yi's suspected bribery and abuse of power in accordance with law

The case of Xiao Yi, a former member of the CPPCC leading group and vice chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, suspected of accepting bribes and abusing his power, was investigated by the State Supervision Commission, designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and examined and prosecuted by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate in Zhejiang Province. Recently, the Hangzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate in Zhejiang Province has filed a public prosecution with the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court.

During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed defendant Xiao Yi of his procedural rights in accordance with law, interrogated the defendant, and listened to the defender's opinions. The procuratorial organs indicted and charged: Defendant Xiao Yi took advantage of his position as director of the Beijing office of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal CPC Committee of Jiangxi Province, vice chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and other positions to provide assistance to relevant units and individuals in matters such as project contracting and project development, and illegally accepted property from others, the amount of which was particularly huge; during his tenure as secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal CPC Committee, defendant Xiao Yi knew that Fuzhou Genesis Technology Co., Ltd. and other enterprises were mainly engaged in virtual currency calculation and production business, involving the manufacture of virtual currency production equipment. Sales and virtual currency trading activities, still in violation of state regulations, in financial subsidies, case trials, financial support, power security and other aspects of the provision of assistance in violation of the law, resulting in major losses to public property, causing a bad social impact, the circumstances are particularly serious, according to law shall be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of accepting bribes and abuse of power.
