Sun Chengkai, director of the Nature Department of the Shandong Museum, told reporters that in the Cretaceous strata between Mengyin, Xintai, Zhucheng, Laiyang and Junan in Shandong, there are rich dinosaur fossils and their remains, including at least 13 types of dinosaur fossils, as well as dinosaur footprint fossils, dinosaur egg fossils, etc. "The Shandong region was a paradise for dinosaurs in the Cretaceous period, and most of the dinosaur fossils unearthed in the Cretaceous period were in the Shandong region."

In addition, this exhibition accurately obtains the three-dimensional data of dinosaur fossils, scientifically replicates the dinosaur skeleton through 3D model reconstruction and printing technology, more intuitively shows the original appearance of the Cretaceous dinosaur skeleton, brings immersive, regional and enlightening viewing experience to the audience, and integrates into the "teaching + research" model, planning and organizing research theme activities such as "Traces of Chalk, Starting from "Foot" and "Returning from Egg Recognition", so that participants can learn dinosaur knowledge in multiple directions and angles. Fully understand the ecological environment of Shandong during the Cretaceous period and the knowledge of dinosaur development and reproduction. (End)
