This unusually hot weather made a company of commanders and fighters dry mouths, smoke in their throats, and in addition to fighting for more than ten hours without eating, everyone was thirsty, hungry, and tired.
For these, the soldiers could endure by tenacious will, and what was imminent was that there was a problem with a water-pressure heavy machine gun of the second company of the third company of the 381st Regiment of machine guns, which was equipped with a company to guard the Fengmen Ridge.
After crushing the enemy several times, the machine gun ran out of water, and after a few shots, the body of the gun was burned red, and the bullets popped to the ground not far from being fired.

Shao Yuetang didn't say a word, went straight to the bucket in the kitchen, lifted the kettle and pressed it in the bucket and grunted and poured water.

The hungry and thirsty warriors had enough to eat and drink, and left enough water for the heavy machine guns.
Some soldiers wiped their mouths and praised Shao Yuetang for being able to retreat from the enemy camp by mistake, and also beautifully completed two tasks in half an hour, skillfully solving two major urgent needs for the troops: first, they successfully retrieved the water for the heavy machine guns; second, they captured the enemy's good food and good dishes, so that the commanders and fighters of the whole company could have a full meal.
