Guy Oseary is quickly becoming the NFT's talent manager. Today, the music veteran, who represents Madonna, U2 and others, adds the NFT project World of Women to his growing roster.
The latest move comes just months after Oseary signed bored Ape Yacht Club, one of the most popular NFT series in existence. Similar to BAYC, signing WoW will see Oseiry and colleagues explore opportunities in film, television, music, games and consumer products for this impactful project, according to Variety.
World of Women — launched in July 2021 — is a collection of 10,000 illustrated portrait NFTs that, according to its creator, Yam Karkai, is a "community that celebrates representation, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all." After entering the market in the summer of 2021 along with countless other avatar collectibles projects, WoW continues to stand out not only as one of the few major NFT projects created and operated by a female team, but also as one of the most visually striking PFP projects available.
"I'm very excited to start 2022 with this new chapter," Yam Karkai, creator of the World of Women, told Variety. "The World of Women team is delighted to be working with Guy Osseri – his expertise is truly passed down from generation to generation and we can't imagine a better partner to help maximize the potential of the project and achieve our goals."
In response to this latest news, WoW — which has generated more than $120 million in transaction volume since launch — has seen a significant increase in secondary sales. With WoW's vibrant community members including Reese Witherspoon, Gary Vaynerchuk, Logan Paul and others, Oseary said he looks forward to helping Karkai further develop the promising brand.
"Yam and the World of Women team are leading the way to change that narrative. They have built a community that is authentic, diverse and unique. All of this is directly transformed through gorgeous artwork," Oseary told Variety. "Their core values of educating and empowering women in the arts, technology and NFT space are incredibly inspiring and I look forward to doing everything I can to promote their message, impact and reach."
