Leisurely ancient rhyme, thousands of knots. The Chinese knot is an important element of traditional Chinese culture, which means reunion, peace and auspiciousness. On the afternoon of January 15th, the Municipal Library invited Teacher Wang, an outstanding inheritor of Lianyungang Intangible Cultural Heritage, to hold the "Chinese Red Happy Knot" traditional Chinese knot weaving activity in the activity room on the sixth floor, with a total of 25 groups of families participating.

In the activity, Teacher Wang explained the culture of Chinese knots and taught the weaving techniques of Chinese knots by hand, while making and explaining, seemingly simple Chinese knots, in fact, the steps are a bit cumbersome. Readers follow Teacher Wang's instructions, follow the teacher's tips, winding ropes, knots, and tassels, only to see the red rope in their hands turning left and right, pressing the line and picking the line. During the whole process, the readers communicated with the teacher while making, and the atmosphere was very warm. After more than an hour of creation, a bright red and festive "Chinese knot" was born in the dexterous little hands of readers.
This activity not only inherits the traditional Chinese culture, but also allows everyone to experience the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture. In the future, Lianyungang Municipal Library will launch more intangible cultural heritage handicraft activities, and readers are welcome to sign up for it.
