Reading Ms. Chen Xin's recollection of her father, Mr. Chen Congzhou, was very cordial, entitled "Half-Life Lake and Sea Book "Talking Garden" (published on March 15, 2021, "Wenhui Scholars"). At the beginning of the article, he wrote: "In the winter of 1974, the cold struck people, and his father Chen Congzhou was 'liberated'. He put on his mother's newly sewn vest, put on the old felt hat, stepped on the muddy thin ice, and went to visit Mr. Wang Xiye, who had not been seen for eight years, and who was 'a direct friend, the best way to express the bitterness of it'. In addition to the joy of a long-term reunion, the two have begun to conceive of Mr. Chen's life's "most important work, "Talking Garden". Interestingly, I served as a "messenger" to two gentlemen, delivering the manuscript of "Talking Garden".

At that time, Mr. Wang Xiye was working as a consultant in the language group of the Yangpu District Institute of Education where I worked, because I was single in Shanghai, I lived in the college, and my commuting route passed through Tongji New Village, where Mr. Chen lived, and I was entrusted to act as a messenger for the two gentlemen to deliver their letters and articles. Mr. Chen trusted Mr. Wang, and the poems and articles he wrote were all edited by Mr. Wang, including the manuscript of his famous work "Saying Garden". Mr. Chen once wrote affectionately: "Yu and Xi Weng have been friends for decades, and they have been together with guests, gathering day and night, commenting on books and poems, and every time they fit together." Often walking in the Suzhou garden, enjoying the scenery and talking about art, the two views are often similar. Yu Shiyu wrote the book "Saying Garden", and he received the help of Si Ong. "Mr. Chen also often comes to visit the college. If you come during the day, you must sit in our language group. He was a humorous and funny man, without any big professor's shelf, and he was very familiar with the old and young in our group, and we sometimes forgot about it, and it was not big or small to talk to him. I remember once when I went to Mr. Chen's house to get a manuscript, I gave my opinion on his manuscript: "It is so sloppy that I can't understand it." Mr. Chen was not angry at all, and said, "If Xi Weng can understand it, you just have to take it." ”

Mr. Wang Xiye is a university scholar, a poet, and a leader in my professional growth. In the circle of friends, he is also a recognized good person, moral articles, all of which are not praised. Mr. He Manzi wrote the preface to Nishinoshi's poetry collection "Frost Kirinoya Poetry Cun": "Xi Su Yuanlei tasted the title Ofano, known as 'Yuanmo', the joke is Yu Yun: Brother Wang should be privately called 'Mr. Yuanmo' after a hundred years." Yu once told Nishino, and Nishino laughed and said, "Su Gong is vain and beautiful, how dare I be?" Now that the two dukes have returned to the Mountain of Dao, they are often overwhelmed with confusion when they think about it, but they think that the title of Nishino with these two words is really appropriate. He also made a specific comment on the word "Yuanmo": "Yuan" has tolerance, and "Silence" can be kept.

Mr. Wang Xiye, the character Qixia, the old man of Shuangtong, was born in Jiangyin in the early years of an enlightened merchant family, his father was a gentry who had read books, and he was sent to Suzhou by a small boat in his childhood, where he studied at the current Suzhou Caoqiao Primary School, and then entered Suzhou Middle School, which not only laid a solid foundation for old learning, but also received a more systematic new education. Later, he was admitted to the Suzhou Art College established by Mr. Yan Wenliang, and has been associated with art ever since. He then transferred to the literature major of Shanghai Guanghua University, laying a profound literary foundation. At various stages of his life, there are always a group of close friends around him, or teaching and working together, or poetry and singing, or calligraphy and painting evaluation, nourishing each other. In the 1930s and 1940s, he came into contact with a large number of well-known social sages, such as Yu Dafu, Pan Hannian, Xia Yan, Mao Dun, Ye Shengtao, etc., to broaden his horizons and increase his experience. He taught in a school in Shanghai with Tang Tao and Bai Shuo, and his feelings were deep. While sorting through his poems, I read a note: "In 1938, Teacher Yu zhi went to middle school and fell ill with falciparum malaria... Shi Yu's lessons were replaced by the two brothers, Bai Shuo and Tang Tao, and did not receive substitute tuition, and saw Gao Yi. "In the three or four years that I spent with him day and night, I often followed or accompanied him to meet with Gu Tinglong, Chen Congzhou, He Manzi, Tian Ao, Deng Yunxiang, Zheng Ce'an, Zhou Daonan and so on. On several occasions, Mr. Xie Guozhen came to Shanghai from Beijing to live in his daughter's house in the Fudan dormitory, and Nishino always asked me to bring my camera and visit with him. After he left Yangpu Institute of Education and returned to Suzhou, he would sometimes write to me and call me to do things, and I remember once asking me to go to Professor Su Buqing's house to ask for mobao, and he knew that I would not "take the opportunity to ask Su Lao to write." The envelope sent after Su Lao's inscription is still there, and now it can be regarded as a "cultural relic".

Nishino's role as an advisor to our language group has benefited us a lot. At that time, I was teaching the Song Dynasty literature section of the Chinese college class, and almost every preparation note had to be taken to him for advice. He never answered my "questions" head-on, always smiling and squinting: You go to see so-and-so's book and read so-and-so's poems. And the result of me doing what he says is often suddenly enlightened. I was amazed by his familiarity with poetry and rhythm and superhuman memory, and any knowledge point was blurted out, just like the current Baidu query. I once asked him how to distinguish the rhymes of "one east" and "two winters", because there is no difference in the modern speech system, it is really difficult to distinguish, think about what secrets there should be, but he replied: "Back." Later, I read an article recalling a group of masters in the Republic of China period, saying that they all had extremely strong memory ability, and emphasized that they were the result of a lot of memorization and accumulation in childhood, so they practiced a child's skill. In addition to their super memory and extensive inventory, their unique insights into the rhythm of poetry and works are not better than Baidu! In this way, nishino division is the same.

When Nishinoshi came to our hospital, he was already a retired person, and later the doorman who was responsible for taking care of him, Uncle Shi, was also going to return to his hometown, and Lao Cao and other leaders agreed that Mr. Wang would return to Suzhou to spend his old age. At that time, I was studying off the job at the Chinese department of the Gurudwara, and I did not catch up with the send-off. When I returned to the college, I was already empty, and my heart was very sad. Lao Cao advised me: Suzhou is very close, you can often visit the elderly, you can also write to the phone for advice if you have professional problems. As a result, it became common to communicate and talk with Mr. Wang, and visiting Mr. Wang at least once a year was associated with hiking in Qingqing. I still have many letters from the old gentleman and the handwriting of the poems he wrote. Go to Suzhou with him to enjoy the garden to climb the tower, climb the lake, go shopping and explore the shadows. Nishinoshi is a consultant to the Suzhou Garden Management Office and an expert in ancient gardens. Professor Chen Congzhou spoke highly of him: "Nishino's ancient poems, long and short sentences, calligraphy and painting are not exquisite, and Yu Yuan has unique insights, Yu Zhiyuan is constantly armed, and every time there is a collection of works, he often bothers Xiang to make a choice, and the evaluation is all appropriate." Cover the depth of his experience and skill, seek the world in this world, and rarely fight against the enemy. ”

After talking about Nishinoshi's "'Yuan' is tolerant", let's talk about his "'silence' is able to keep". Mr. He Manzi commented on his poems: "Graceful and condensed, as if they were imminent, his people have a gentle and auspicious atmosphere, although they are angry but not sharp, they ridicule the world without abuse, they have many words, they can sing and sigh, but in the turbulent world, they have experienced many hardships and hardships, and it is difficult to hide their sorrows." Therefore, his spirit is slightly close to the Yellow Valley of Who Fu and not like its thinness, and its tone is slightly similar to that of Huang Zhong, who is late, and the decay of The Dragon", in fact, the person of The Nishino Division is not like this: graceful and condensed, gentle and auspicious, gentle and gentle, gentle and gentle!

Chen Deng and Deng are one Hangzhou official, one full of Beijing films; one is funny, one is rigorous. Sometimes the two of them have to fight each other, and they are not afraid to be on the sidelines. But both of them have great respect for Mr. Nishino. Once, Mr. Chen made a high opinion: "If you don't scold people, you can't do bad learning!" At that time, he was angry about the destruction of the Haiyan North and South Lake Scenic Area, and had already alarmed the leaders. Because I was familiar with Mr. Chen, I deliberately said "Mr. Gu (Tinglong) does not curse people", and Mr. Chen immediately said: "He is different!" I said again, "Mr. Wang doesn't curse either," and Mr. Chen said, "He's different!" In his words, he saw his admiration for the two men.

When Nishino lived in the academy, his residence was often full of high-ranking friends, and the most impressive thing was a collection of calligraphy and paintings. After dinner, the old gentlemen turned to a large classroom, put together the desks, and a gentleman (presumably Mr. Wang Xianghua, the prince of Mr. Wang Boxiang), carefully spread out a scroll, the beginning of which was a small picture of Lu Zhi that Mr. Xianghua asked Professor Chen Congzhou to draw, the pavilion water pavilion, the weeping willow Yiyi, very fresh and lovely. At that time, Mr. Wang Boxiang taught with Ye Shengtao, Gu Jiegang and other Gusu celebrities at Luzhi Primary School, and Mr. Ye's novel "Ni Huanzhi" was written against the background of this life. The old gentlemen were full of praise for Mr. Chen's paintings, and then the inscription poems of the inscriptions, the paintings of the paintings, remember that Nishinoshi filled in a "Water Tune Song Head", and at the end there were two sentences: "Zi Weng idle pen, shallow painting self-made picture". Nishinoshi was very happy that day, but he was a moody gentleman, smoking his cigarette and drinking his tea as usual.

Nishino usually does not speak much, except for the incessant gushing during lectures and the long flow of babbling when answering questions for us, most of them are "silent". He treats anything and anyone can keep his gentlemanly nature. The secretary of the college, Cao, had the grace of knowing him, and when Lao Cao issued an invitation, he did not say a word and rolled up the covers and came to Shanghai. The college arranged for the doorman Uncle Shi to cook for him and take care of his life, and the two of them ate and lived together, as close as brothers and sisters. In addition to Xiao Wei and I, who officially worship him as a teacher, the other teachers in the language group also asked him for advice whenever they had a problem. His grandson Hong Yicheng wrote in a reminiscence essay: "When Grandpa was alive, it was called a 'living dictionary', and many scholars encountered doubts, and an answer could be obtained by a letter or a visit to the door for advice. For a time, 'You can ask Elder Wang about this' has become a popular phrase in the cultural circles of Suhu. ”

Nishino's division has been engaged in education all his life, and Momo-Lee has become a teacher. In his early years, he specialized in painting, and in his later years, he revived the color pen. More comments on painting and poetry, Hengwen talks about art, and is omnipresent. But only the poet himself, whose interest lies, can be known. He wrote a large number of poems during his lifetime, but he wrote them with gifts and did not deliberately keep the manuscripts for preservation. He was fond of large front door cigarettes, and after smoking, he would always spread out the shells, lay them flat, and fold them into stacks. In his later years, the poems he composed were written in large quantities on the white side of the smoke shell, and I often received such gifts. His old friend and poet Tian Ao praised that "many poems have no manuscripts in their hands, and paintings are pleasant and do not sell for money", but they are also true. Mr. Chen Congzhou once said: "Xi Weng's poetry is like a clear wind and a long moon, cold flowers blooming, high cleanliness and qingyuan, old branches slanted; his character is not group, and he is deeply educated." ...... Such a beautiful chapter and beautiful sentence, can not be allowed to be annihilated, Fu Zi into a collection of spread in the world, the reader recites his poems, enough to imagine his character, look at his gardening arguments, can know its absolute vulgarity and self-exaltation, not the reach of the generations! "After Mr. Wang's death, I discussed with his son Zongzu to sort out the old works and compile and publish the "Frost Tong Noya Poetry Collection". The compilation and printing of this collection of poems was considered before Mr. Du Xuan's death, and the title of the book inscribed by Mr. Du Xuan and the preface written by Mr. Chen Congzhou and Mr. Tian Ao were also completed, but Mr. Du Xuan did not take his own affairs to heart. After his death, I asked his friend He Manzi, an expert in literature and history, to write a new preface. Unfortunately, when the book was printed, Brother Zong had already died and could not see it with his own eyes. In the "Afterword" of this book, I wrote emotionally: "There is nothing else to ask for in sorting out the manuscript, but Izu sends his condolences to the two generations and comforts the spirit of Nishino Shizong's brother in heaven." Whoops, the philosopher is dead, the rhyme is still there, can the scroll not be eclipsed? ”
