Feature 2: Traffic accidents are relatively frequent in some areas. During the Spring Festival in the past three years, there have been relatively many accidents in Pudong New Area, Jiading District and Songjiang District, and the number of accidents is in the forefront. At the same time, among the 263 fatal accidents that occurred, Pudong New Area, Minhang District, Fengxian District and Songjiang District had 51, 28, 27 and 27 cases respectively, accounting for 50.5% of the total. These areas are all areas where residents of the city are more concentrated in the Spring Festival holiday or are connected to neighboring provinces and cities, and there are more transit vehicles.
Feature three: Serious traffic violations are the main factors that cause road traffic accidents. After analyzing the traffic accidents during the Spring Festival in the past three years, there are more accidents caused by traffic violations such as "driving in the same lane, not maintaining the necessary safety distance from the front car according to regulations" and "the motor vehicle did not let the priority passage party go first", the accidents caused by non-motor vehicles due to traffic violations such as "driving in the opposite direction" and "running red lights" are more prominent, and there are more accidents caused by pedestrians due to traffic violations such as "running red lights" and "not taking crosswalk lines".

Motor vehicle drivers driving on foggy days should turn on fog lights, low beam lights, marker lights, front and rear tail lights, reduce the speed to increase the distance, as far as possible to temporarily drive away from the highway. Ice and snow or freezing rain weather should be as slow as possible, maintain a sufficient distance from the car in front, choose the front car or heavy car rut to pass, should not drive on the edge of the road near the water, cliff, sharp bend, do not blindly risk driving.
Avoid drunk driving and avoid fatal accidents. During the Spring Festival holiday, relatives and friends enter the dining and drink more frequently, and after some of the driving agents return to their hometowns for the New Year, the city's driving service force is reduced, which in turn causes the risk of drunk driving to rise. There were 23 and 10 fatal accidents caused by non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians violating the traffic lights due to low traffic flow, respectively, resulting in a total of 34 deaths. During the Spring Festival, drivers should ensure adequate sleep before traveling, do not drive for a long time, and avoid fatigue driving; drive without drinking alcohol, drink alcohol and do not drive; maintain safe speed, do not speed; slow down at night, try not to drive late at night; civilized courtesy, do not force overtaking.
Rationally plan routes to eliminate fatigue driving. At the beginning of the Spring Festival, students leave school on vacation, migrant workers return to their hometowns, traffic passenger flow is superimposed, self-driving and highway passenger transport, cargo transportation are intertwined, the city's highways, ordinary national and provincial highways are still the focus of traffic safety control during the Spring Festival, and the pressure of unblocking and ensuring smoothness in some node sections such as trunk highway bridges and tunnels and interchanges still exists.
