Orchid Bridge Will
Most of the readers and friends know the beautiful love stories such as yingtai weeping graves, tail students holding pillars, cowherd weavers and weavers. But I have rarely heard of the Orchid Bridge Society. People use the "soul broken Orchid Bridge" to describe the mutual martyrdom of lovers, if the lovers can not be together before they die, they can only meet on the Orchid Bridge after death, which is very sad. It is so big that it has even evolved into the folklore "Nai Ho Bridge", which is the bridge that the soul must cross after death.
The Blue Bridge will evolve from the story of "Tail Sheng Holding Pillars", which was first seen in "Zhuangzi Thief Toe": "Tail students and women are under the beams, women do not come, the water does not go, and they die by holding the beams and pillars"; later, it is also recorded in the "History of Su Qinlie"; in the Song Dynasty, it was included in the Song And Yuan dialect "Blue Bridge". This story is not the Blue Bridge in a Hollywood movie. The fame of that Blue Bridge is not compatible with this. "Soul Break Blue Bridge" was originally called "Waterloo Bridge", and when it was released in China, it was changed to "Soul Broken Blue Bridge".
But what is less known is that there is also a little-known Lanqiao in the Qianhe Bay, and a poignant love story has also been staged here! The story is much the same as liang shanbo and Zhu Yingtai's version. This story takes place in Lanqiao Township, Huaiyuan County, Bengbu City.
Lanqiao Township is located 25 kilometers southwest of Huaiyuan County, Anhui Province, famous for the folklore "Lanqiao Hui" inside and outside the province, located between the Cihuai New River and the Qi River, with convenient land and water transportation. Lanqiao is an agricultural township with a main cropping and breeding industry.
Orchid Bridge has a long history and a long history. According to the Records of Zhihuai Yuanzhi of Fengyang County, as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty, Lanqiao (Liu Ji) was once the location of Bailu City, which was later changed to the location of the Fuya, and the ancient ruins are still clearly visible in the south of the Cihuai New River and the north of the Qi River.
The Qian River has formed a wide and boundless lake here. There is an ancient bridge on a tributary leading to the Lake called Lanqiao. In the west of the bridge lives a large family surnamed Lan, known as Lan Yuanwai. Lan Yuan has a daughter Lan Yulian. From an early age, he was given to Zhou Yukuan, the son of Zhou Yuanwai,as his wife. However, Zhou Yukuan was extremely ugly, and Zhou Yulian was extremely dissatisfied with this family affair. Wei Xueshi in Qiaodong was not only handsome, but also full of poetry and books, full of economy, but his family was poor. One day, Wei Xueshi passed by Lanjing and happened to meet Lan Yulian drawing water at the mouth of the well. Wei Xueshi went forward to ask for water to drink. Two people love each other, fall in love at first sight, and be privately engaged for life. However, it was impossible to obtain the consent of Lan Yuanwai on this matter. So the two people only took advantage of the night to secretly date Yu Lanqiao and discuss elopement. Unexpectedly, the water of the Qian River swelled, and Wei Xueshi unfortunately fell into the water and was caught in the turbulent waves. Lan Yulian jumped into the river and was martyred, and after being rescued by her family, she was promised to the Ma family. Before the palanquin passed by Zhou Yukuan's grave, Lan Yulian got off the palanquin and cried at the grave, the grave was split by lightning, and Lan Yulian jumped into the grave and was martyred. The son-in-law of the Ma family could not bear this great insult and committed suicide by throwing himself into the river. Since then, the Lan family has no face to see each other again, so they secretly left their hometown without news. In order to remember this loyal and unswerving love story, posterity rebuilt the Lanqiao Bridge many times, and compiled the matter into a drama "Water Flooding the Blue Bridge", which was widely sung. This is the origin of "Blue Bridge Society". People have also built a Lan family ancestral hall for this purpose, which meets every year on the fifth day of the third month of the lunar calendar, attracting pilgrims from near and far. It is a grand gathering for the people of Lanqiao to make friends with guests inside and outside the province.
Now, Lanqiao has become an important passage between the Cihuai New River and the Qi River running through the east and west. The Orchid Bridge, built in the 1960s and 1970s, was also protected. Lanqiao Wetland Park was built along the river, which is suitable for self-driving tours in the surrounding area. Young people enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Qianhe Wetland, taste the Mandarin Fish and Shrimp of the Qianhe River, feel this touching love story, and leave an unforgettable memory.
