Brushing dramas at home during the National Day holiday, I inadvertently brushed up on Zhou Xingchi's classic movie "Wu Zhuangyuan Su Qi'er". Looking at the familiar characters and clips, I can't help but think of the happy scene of the whole dormitory chasing the drama together during college, and I can't help but relive the movie from beginning to end.
I have to say that the reason why the classic has become a classic is that no matter how many years have passed for people to see it again, they are still intoxicated, still resonant and moved. Stephen Chow's comedy films are worthy of being a monument to the unprecedented ancients in the Chinese film industry.
"Wu Zhuangyuan Su Qi'er" was officially released in Hong Kong at the end of 1992, telling the story of Su Can (Zhou Xingchi), the son of the Viceroy of Guangzhou (Wu Mengda), who entered Beijing to take wu Zhuangyuan in pursuit of love at first sight ( Zhang Min ) , but was framed by someone to become a beggar, and then got help from others, made a comeback, and finally killed the enemy and hugged the beauty.
The plot is a routine, but it is interlocked and reasonable, and there is no shortage of laughter and tears. And now revisiting this movie, there is less laughter during college, but more empathy from a social person.
1. The beginning is the peak
As the only son of the Admiral of Guangzhou, Su Can can be said to have been born with a golden key, and because of the early death of his mother, his father regarded him as a treasure in the palm of his hand, very spoiled, and from an early age, he did not learn any techniques, was idle, and spent days and nights. Even at the age of 26, he could not even write his own name, but instead went to the brothel to celebrate his birthday, and met three people who changed his life: nobles, lovers and enemies, of which the nobleman was an old beggar.
When the old beggar congratulated him, but was stopped and reprimanded by his entourage, Su Can responded with righteousness and sternness, "Beggars are also people", and publicly promised to cover the old beggar's entire expenses in the brothel for a month.
Su Can himself did not expect that it was because of his humble move that it became a turning point for him to change his life against the sky later, which can be described as inadvertently inserting willows. But this is also the Buddhist karma, the so-called good cause and effect.
2. Fall from the top to the bottom
At the brothel, Su Can meets Ru Feng and falls in love with her at first sight, vowing to marry her. Ru Shuang thought that he was the prodigal son of the disciples, so he casually said a condition, asking him to pass the Wu Zhuangyuan examination and become one person below and above ten thousand people.
Su Canshuang quickly agreed and put it into action. It's just that he is illiterate, and the literary test was passed by his father bribing the examiner to cheat, but the martial arts test he won the championship without any danger by virtue of his true ability.
However, before the emperor could award the reward, he was publicly exposed by the enemy Zao Wou-ki (Xu Shaoqiang) that he was illiterate and passed the examination. Although the emperor pardoned the death penalty after the intercession of the official Shangshu (Chen Baixiang), he was punished with confiscation of the family, and the father and son begged for generations.
Not only that, Zao Wou-Ki also beat up the falling water dog, breaking the bones and muscles of his whole body when he was selling his art, making him a complete waste. Father and son joined the beggar gang, and his father worked hard to recuperate from his injuries and brought him food every day to survive.
What made Su Qi'er even more bitter was that when he went out to beg in place of his sick father, he was met by the Rushuang sisters, who plunged into the black charcoal pile he had just collected, stained his face, and died without admitting that he was Su Can, and Rushuang could not bear to expose him, after all, he was only hurt by her going to take the Wu Zhuangyuan examination.
When it rained overnight, Su Can saw that his father was being kidnapped by a group of officers and soldiers because his father had grabbed a loaf of bread to eat. The officers and soldiers recognized his identity as Wu Zhuangyuan and deliberately harassed him and let him eat dog food on the street. So we saw a poignant scene: the father and son were not around, making fun of the pain, grabbing dog food one by one, and eating with relish.
3. Nirvana is reborn and returns to its peak
Letting his beloved woman see the most depressed side of himself, Su Qi'er was devastated and collapsed, sleeping every day in addition to sleep. But what is valuable is that his father did not give up, actively encouraged him, and even endured the pain of putting him into a dog pile to train him.
Finally the noble man appeared. The old beggar who had invited him to drink and play in Guangzhou was a big boss who was very deeply hidden, and it turned out that his name was Hong Riqing, who was the highest score among the middle generation of the beggar gang and the seventh generation of Hong Qigong. In return, in his sleep, he taught Su Qi'er the Dream Luohan Fist.

After Su Can learned LuoHan Fist in his dream, he just happened to catch up with the Gang of Servants to choose a new gang leader, and also learned that Ru Shuang was captured by Zao Wou-Ki. In order to save Ru Frost, Su Can fought hard and won the position of helper, and received the Dragon Descending Eighteen Palm Secret Book and a Great Dan to restore internal strength.
The ending was heart-warming. Su Can not only exposed and prevented Zao Wou-ki's earth-shattering conspiracy to kill the emperor to seize the throne, but also realized the last slap of the eighteen palms of the descending dragon in the fight at the moment of life and death, beating Zao Wou-ki to ashes, not only saving the emperor, but also finally embracing the beauty.
