Beijing, 15 Jan (China News Network) -- A New Year's concert jointly brought by singers such as Kuo Jing, Wang Hexiang, Zhang Wenqin, and Li Xintong, as well as young pianist Yue Peng and the Global Chinese Youth Symphony Orchestra, was staged in Beijing a few days ago. Some high-level diplomats such as ambassadors to China gathered for a wonderful and unforgettable evening.

Artists use music to bring New Year's greetings to foreign friends living in foreign countries.
The concert was co-sponsored by the Beijing Diplomatic Service bureau and the Global Chinese Art Development Foundation. The Global Chinese Arts Development Fund, initiated by Lu Jia, Music and Artistic Director of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, was established in 2018.

"We need to communicate with the world, the world needs to understand China, China also needs to understand the world, classical music has become a common language." Lu Jia said that this was the original intention of the establishment of the Global Chinese Orchestra, and it was also the motivation for the Global Chinese Art Development Foundation and the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau to join hands to create this New Year's concert, "In the future, the two sides will strive to carry out all-round cooperation in international cultural exchanges, with music as the link and emotion as the bridge, to show the beauty of Chinese art to the world, and to tell the Chinese story well with the world's common musical language."
