World Sports: Looking for Alba's successor, Barca are interested in former La Masia academy player Grimaldo

According to Spain's "World Sports Newspaper", Barca are looking for a successor to Alba, who has their eyes on Benfica left-back Grimaldo.

Grimaldo is a trainer in La Masia who found a stage to play in Benfica after leaving Barca, where Grimaldo has been performing well for several seasons.

Grimaldo has scored three goals and delivered three assists this season, and in terms of the number of goals he has produced, he is second only to Manchester City's Canselo and Rennes' Trufit.

Of the more than 140 left-backs who have played more than 500 minutes in the five major leagues this season, Grimaldo is ranked 6th in goals, 10th in assists and 8th in shots per game.

Barca's contract with Alba expires in June 2023 and Barca consider signing Grimaldo.
