The first Guangxi Book Design Competition Excellent Works Exhibition opened in Nanning

On the morning of January 14, the first Guangxi Book Design Competition Excellent Works Exhibition opened at the Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House Art Museum.

At the opening ceremony, Li Laiyou, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Autonomous Regional Party Committee, highly affirmed the significance of the book design competition, saying that book design is an important part of the publishing work, and hoped that through the holding of the competition and the display of excellent works, more readers would understand the field of book design, and open up a new world for readers in the form of aesthetic and Italian education and book reading.

Zhang Yibing, member of the Party Committee and editor-in-chief of Guangxi Publishing and Media Group, introduced that the award-winning works are in a novel form, unique in intention, well-made and exquisitely printed, showing the exquisite artistic techniques and distinctive personality styles of book designers, and the activities have realized the original intention of stimulating guangxi book design talents to learn knowledge and practice skills, and to discover, cultivate and cultivate a group of innovative and creative design talents with strong ability and fine business.

It is reported that since the launch of the competition in July 2021, a total of 276 kinds of entries that meet the requirements have been received, and after two rounds of review by industry experts such as Huang Zonghu, Han Zhanning, He Pingjing, Jiang Zhilong, Yao Mingju, Zhong Yibing, Dujiang and other industry experts, a total of 139 award-winning works have been selected. The works in this exhibition are divided into two categories: books and illustrations, including four types of units such as overall book design, cover design, inner language layout design and illustration design, with distinct themes, rich connotations, temperature, details, design, creativity and culture, showing the exquisite artistic level of Guangxi book design and the vigorous vitality of Guangxi's design and binding field.
