Xiaomi phones can "censor" speech? BSI Germany: No examination function

On January 14, according to foreign media reports, the German Federal Information Security Office (BSI) confirmed that there is no evidence that xiaomi mobile phones have a "censorship" function.

Earlier, Lithuania's National Cyber Security Centre released a "product survey report" claiming that Xiaomi mobile phones sold in Europe have built-in detection and censorship functions, including some sensitive words and phrases, and advise citizens not to use all Chinese-made mobile phones for privacy reasons.

A Xiaomi spokesperson said in a statement that Xiaomi devices have never restricted or will never restrict or block any personal behavior of users, and Xiaomi fully respects and protects the legal rights of all users, attaches importance to the privacy and security of customers, and promises to operate its business in a transparent and responsible manner.
