In the early hours of Friday's EST, a tweet released by Musk stirred up thousands of waves: Tesla merchandise began to accept Dogecoin purchases!
From the tesla official website, the goods that can be purchased with Dogecoin do not include Tesla cars, but mainly small peripheral products such as clothing and toys, such as children's electric quads, hats, stainless steel whistles and commemorative belt buckles. None of these goods are sold in official Chinese channels.
Among them, the highest price is the children's electric quad, which costs 12020 Dogecoin. Based on the current Dogecoin price ($0.2/coin), it is equivalent to about $2404.
Stimulated by Musk's action, Dogecoin did rise sharply. According to Coinbase quotes, Dogecoin has gained more than 15% in the last 24 hours.
As early as last December, Musk revealed in advance on Twitter that Tesla would test Dogecoin as a payment method for goods. According to Coinbase data, Dogecoin has soared nearly 60 times in the past year under the hype of Musk.
